Came across another error. Add a new game. Add an additional versions, close that window, and then go right be into additional versions and try to change any value, it throws this error. If you add a new game then close the game window, you can go back in and change the additional versions info without any problems, its just when you are first creating the game. Hey Joe, I’ve only been using Retroarch lately. I don’t let LB handle it, I do it all myself with a config file per system. Retroarch 1.2.2

Beta-6 has been freezing on me a lot. I'd boot a game and when I close it, Launchbox becomes unresponsive. It's not frozen, you just can't click anything. Doesn't happen 100% of the time but seems around 75-80%. Another issue I'm having is importing games by drag and drop when my library gets to around 17k. Doesn't matter if I try 10 games or a 1000, it sits on Saving games for 2-5 minutes. When I try to add games by drag and drop, I turn off all options, only thing I check is force duplicate games to import, this is the only way I've found to keep the rom names I have. After the games are added I go back and update the metadata and grab media.

This is why you don’t buy random drives off the internet because they come with loads of problems. Drop rocket launcher its not need reinstall LB and do things the legit way like we all did

Options > Platform Details > Play time Turning this off does nothing, it still shows.

I noticed an issue not sure if its 13.28 related or not. So I go to grab media, I'll select everything and it runs like normal. Sometimes though after emumovies finishes, it then tries to do it all over again. Example I was doing Commodore Amiga and left it to run, came back and there were 50000 errors. It was just trying to regrab everything it already grabbed Is there a fix for this?

thanks again Joe that first fix did it. I had turned on show videos under view > media > autoplay. In previous versions that was all you needed to do. Thanks

13.28 Beta 6, videos don't appear in Launchbox, i just did a fresh install for all media. I confirm I have the videos but they just don't show up in Launchbox

I tried 13.28 and ran into a few issues. First dragging and dropping a system.. I used Atari 2600, 790 games, when it go the point of saving games, it took over 10 minutes to actually process and add them. Once I got all the media I wanted I went to clean the system. It found about 800 files to delete I clicked delete and it ended up freezing LB, I waited 10 minutes before I crashed it. I have 40k+ games in my library so maybe that's the issue. I downgraded back to 13.21 which is the version I've had the most success with.

Thanks Rlad I wasn't aware of that. I upgraded and I must say that was nice. I'm doing a lot of my pc at the moment and still decided to try updating the database, it completed in about a minute that was awesome. -

I was never on 13.28 I couldn't find the DL. I've been on 13.27 and that's where I was having the issues. Since downgrading to 13.21 its much smoother, no verifying the database hash or anything. So I'm just waiting until 13.28 is released then I would upgrade, if this issue truly is fixed. -

It seems to have gotten worse. My solution was to downgrade to 13.21 and wait until this issue is fixed. -

I don't think that last part is correct. You suggested this: Tools < Download < Update Metadata and Media for ... Games... (which gives you the option to not update it) This forces the database to be updated before it will even try to search for metadata. There is no option to not update it like you mentioned. The only "fix" I've found is close LB open it back up don't do anything then tools > download > force update.. Walk away for 10-15 minutes come back and it should have finished. -

Thanks for the update Joe, any idea when the rest of us will be able to update to 13.28? @Rlad automated imports are not turned on.. Just after 24 hours it always wants to update the database and it takes over 10 minutes every single time and usually it fails and I just crash launchbox. The only alternative is adding games 1 by 1 and saying no every time it asks you to update. -

Has there been any kind of update on this? Or perhaps a way to turn off refreshing metadata every single day? This is getting quite annoying and making it hard to complete my collection. I've slowly started looking into other front ends because of this
