THANK YOU! Super helpful. SNES and Genesis are now lighting up properly. Any advice for Sega Genesis button mapping? gameplay seems to not be working great for me. ie. in Sonic, I can crouch but can't rev up in a ball, if you know what i mean? i can jump just fine, but that seems to be all i can do.

Having a tough time using LEDBlinky and/or RocketBlinky to light properly for basic NES/SNES/Sega Genesis. I'm using BigBox as a frontend and Retroarch as an emulator. Any tips on how to set this up? Thank you.

I started Mame from the windows start menu. Here’s the oddest part. I ran Mame as admin, just to see what happens. I WAS able to add the rom folder. And after I added it, I was able to access the ingame menu and change trackball settings and IT ACTUALLY WORKED. But then, I opened BigBox and launched Golden Tee through BB and then the trackball didn’t work. thoughts how to proceed? seems there is an admin issue with the mame settings at the very least.

So the reason I think there may be a problem NOT being an admin user is that when I go to save the settings I get an error saying “error saving mame.ini”

Basically yes. Except for some reason I’m unable to launch games from Mame. I moved them to the launchbox folder for organization, maybe that’s why?

I appreciate the response, but its not working. I feel like i'm going to pull my hair out. I feel like i've done everything that i've found online, including editing the config file to enable mouse, multimouse, etc. While trying to edit the inputs in Mame via BB, it doesn't even recognize the trackball when trying to set the X and Y, even though it already says "mouse X" and "mouse Y". The fact that the trackball isn't even being recognized within Mame feels like a hint, but I've manually enabled trackball as mouse countless times. Could an issue be that I'm not playing in as an admin user in windows?

Bumping. Still can’t seem to get the trackball working in mame games.

I have done everything I can find online regarding updating the mame.ini file to turn in mouse for trackball and multi mouse, etc. the odd thing is that I am unable to manually set the x axis and y axis for my mouse when launching Mame from within BigBox, but I am able to set it when I launch Mame on its own. either way, when I launch a game like Golden Tee 2k from BigBox, the trackball doesn’t seem to be recognized. any advice? Yes I realized I had quit mapped as “right” somehow. Now it works properly. my next question: I can’t seem to get my trackball working in golden tee. I’ve set trackball as “mouse” in Mame, and I know it works bc it works in Win11 as a mouse. But for whether reason I can’t get it to work in game. any ideas?

so far ive narrowed it down to the 1p joystick. every time i press the joystick right in the BB menu it quits on me

New arcade setup, my very first. I believe I have all of the buttons/sticks/wiring installed correctly, but when I launch bigbox, it will often just straight up quit as soon as i hit the joystick in one direction. not sure what to do here to even start troubleshooting, as i thought it would be fairly plug and play. thank you in advance for any advice.

Installed Unified Redux theme and really like it overall, but how do I get it so that the screen isn't black while in platform view? Photo attached for reference. This is in "Nintendo Entertainment System" if that matters. Thank you.

So after the previous LaunchBox update, the NES ROMs were launching just fine. However, after the latest LaunchBox update, I'm getting the same RAHasher.exe errors when trying to launch CHD roms. Any ideas here?

what priority would you recommend for arcade? I chose to display the "clear logos" image group for arcade and at least the logos are showing now. Thanks.

Hello again, early LB user here. Any idea why the cover art isn't showing in the center of the screen, even though I've done full metadata downloads? Are there settings I need to change? I believe i used the recommended settings. Thanks.

Very early user of LaunchBox here. every time I try to launch a ROM, I get multiple RAHasher.exe related errors. The rom will eventually open, but I’d like to avoid this going forward. im running an AMD Ryzen 7 x64 cpu any advice?
