Bruh, same problem here on Windows 11. Autoprofiles ran fine when I opened RetroArch on its own, then stopped the second I launched anything through LaunchBox. Adding https://ds4-windows.io/ as a game under a new APPLICATIONS platform and starting it from BigBox brought them back. My RetroArch profile now loads on its own, F1 works on the pad again, and I stopped remapping keys before every session. Thanks for writing this up.

That black screen with only UI visible is a common TeknoParrot issue with Samurai Spirits Sen. Usually happens when the game can't initialize the proper rendering mode or the resolution/aspect ratio settings are off. I had this exact problem a few months back. What fixed it was going into the game's config in TeknoParrot and switching the renderer from D3D11 to D3D9 (or vice versa depending on your setup). Also make sure you're not running at a weird resolution – set it to 1920x1080 or your native display res and disable any custom aspect ratio overrides. Another thing to check is whether you have the latest TeknoParrot version and the correct game files. Sometimes the Type X dump or the game folder structure being slightly off causes the combat screen to fail loading properly while menus work fine. Try running the game in windowed mode first to see if it loads, then switch back to fullscreen. Also check if your GPU drivers are up to date – older Nvidia/AMD drivers can choke on TTX3 games.c
