  1. holy hell, that bulk renaming tool is a godsend. it looks daunting the first time opening it, but dude. youre a lifesaver for showing me that🙏
  2. i'll do a small batch of around 10 magazines using the bulk rename and magazine folder and see how that workflow is. i appreciate all the help, i thought i'd never get the magazines set up
  3. alright, i was finally able to get it all sorted out. i didnt automate it because it seemed a little intimidating downloading apps/scripts just to do covers for me. but at least i know i did it somewhat right. ( or as best i could) since you said cbz. files work in 7-zip i simply extracted all magazine issues to a folder, deleted everything but all "0, 00,000,1,01,001" cover files and manually named them "Front - Gameinformer issue #_" it was time consuming doing the naming thing, but it was super easy and fast to import them afterward. i couldnt find out how to import them as a batch but i found out you can just drag and drop an image into the metadata editing page instead of having to click the add button and add it from the pop up window. after that it was just a matter of continuosly just clicking next and drag and dropping the images. it was a little time consuming and im sure there are faster ways, but i gotta say, now that its done i feel extremely satisfied.
  4. i appreciate this a ton, i just figured out the controller situation finally. now imma get to work on the magazines later today. hopefully it wont be too much of a headache🙏
  5. i appreciate the help, i also disabled the mouse inputs in the controller mapping section, now it will only look for d-pad inputs which so far seems to be working fine.🙏
  6. so i actually found the perfect set up with your help. in the second controller mapping menu i noticed i can turn off the mouse movement, which i believe a mouse registers as an axis, just like the pedals and wheelbase were inputting like i suspected. i cleared the mouse input keys and now the sim controllers no longer conflict with launchbox. a regular controller can still register in big box using the d-pad. i honestly greatly appreciate your help. i do alot of remote usage of my pc with parsec and if i accidentally left my sim rig connected, i'd be essentially locked out of using launchbox/bigbox. big timesaver not having to unplug everything before leaving the house or running the app. i havent had time to check out extracting the magazine files but now that i can remotely use the app i'll see about maybe getting it done later today.🙏
  7. that might actually work, i will try this out in a couple hours when i get home. where would the setitng be located? i also tried getting the launchbox reader set up last night and i cant get the library to display the file icons for some reason. the library still shows the .cbz files but it doesnt show the thumbnail/cover of the file
  8. its kind of a really niche issue, but the ability to toggle inputs on and off from certain devices would be nice. i have a sim racing rig that is always on and connected to my pc, and after buying launchbox recently i noticed my handbrake, pedals, and wheels cause random inputs to be triggered in launchbox. its consistently repeatable and unfixable so far. if i click even on an empty space in launchbox window without unplugging my sim racing gear, the cursor will start moving around and going left and right infinitely over the, items at the top bar, its impossible to make a selection because it auto detects controller input and scrolls through the menus uncontrollably. im assuming it has to do with them being detected as joysticks in the launchbox app since they use axis inputs, but its REALLY annoying having to decide between a properly working launchbox app, and using my sim rig, it would be nice to be able to use both at the same time.
  9. how are you getting the covers to show? my game informer magazines all show blank squares. they are in cbz format.
