  1. They are indeed 2 different files. The one detected as a trojan was downloaded from within the program during a betaupdate and is only on 258.8 kB. The undetected file is a full installer on 47.2 MB and can be downloaded here: http://api.launchbox-app.com/DownloadBeta.ashx The question is, where did it come from? I have not been able to find anything related to this on my system.
  2. You did not scan the same file. The file I scanned was one of the files downloaded by the program itself and placed in the "updates" folder Filename: 1c3e6764-8c6e-45fc-aeae-c3b01f3cdbf3.exe SHA256: aea6ceba23621f56bec0c47e0053aa8a976a949294312ddbeaae82558eaa8538 Link to scan: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/aea6ceba23621f56bec0c47e0053aa8a976a949294312ddbeaae82558eaa8538/analysis/1434548903/ Edit: Here is a log of the scan that found the file Malwarebytes Anti-Malware www.malwarebytes.org Scan Date: 2015-06-17 Scan Time: 14:00:00 Logfile: test.txt Administrator: Yes Version: 2.01.6.1022 Malware Database: v2015.06.17.02 Rootkit Database: v2015.06.15.01 License: Premium Malware Protection: Enabled Malicious Website Protection: Enabled Self-protection: Enabled OS: Windows 7 Service Pack 1 CPU: x64 File System: NTFS User: Fluffo Scan Type: Custom Scan Result: Completed Objects Scanned: 844989 Time Elapsed: 1 hr, 42 min, 19 sec Memory: Enabled Startup: Enabled Filesystem: Enabled Archives: Enabled Rootkits: Enabled Heuristics: Enabled PUP: Enabled PUM: Enabled Processes: 0 (No malicious items detected) Modules: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Keys: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Values: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Data: 0 (No malicious items detected) Folders: 0 (No malicious items detected) Files: 1 Trojan.KillFiles, C:\LaunchBox\Updates\1c3e6764-8c6e-45fc-aeae-c3b01f3cdbf3.exe, Quarantined, [f5d187344149b87e7a3182838d75768a], Physical Sectors: 0 (No malicious items detected) (end)
  3. It's probably a false-positive but my daily scan found it so I thought I should post it here.
  4. The update-file called "1c3e6764-8c6e-45fc-aeae-c3b01f3cdbf3.exe" has been detetcted as "Trojan.KillFiles" by MalwareBytes. https://www.virustotal.com/file/aea6ceba23621f56bec0c47e0053aa8a976a949294312ddbeaae82558eaa8538/analysis/1434548903/
  5. Jason Carr said Hey all, been a few days, I know. Been working hard at getting an options management system going for Big Box. I'll be putting out a beta tonight with a few more options. ;) The options are working great! Could you add an option to change which screen it will show on or allow alt+enter so that I can move it myself? Where are the platform-images located? I can't seem to find them anywhere. Edit: I have also noticed that BigBox mode does not update "last played" or playcount.
  6. I see a lot has happened since I was here the last time! Is it possible to change the keys for Big Box mode? I would like to use backspace instead of escape to go back.
  7. Jason Carr said Yup, in the premium version you can customize the "aspect ratio." An aspect ratio of 1.45 seems to work pretty well; you can specify it in Options under Spacing. I tried doing that but it will also make everything bigger and only show 4 games per row instead of 7 when I have the smallest view possible.
  8. Jason Carr said You know what, though, you should follow this thread: https://www.launchbox-app.com/forum/features/launchbox-beta-testing That's probably the closest thing we have to a changelog for the betas. I did just put out a new beta with that prefer Steam banners premium option. :) That update is what made me come here asking about BETA changelogs. Is there any way to remove the excess space between the image and text? Example (The blue area): http://gyazo.com/16e0eeb6b4417eaec219702dcc135388 (I will be back in about 10 hours)
  9. Jason Carr said Nope, not really. It would just take too much time to document all of that, unfortunately. So the changelog is only for things that make it in the final release, and only things that are different than the previous official release. Ok. Thanks.
  10. Jason Carr said Hi Fluffo, yup; right now that's the only way to do it. I'm hoping to add an option to "prefer Steam banners" before the official release. I think it might be a premium feature though. I think that would be a nice premium feature. Is there any place where I can see the BETA changelog?
  11. Just tested this feature. I have the banners downloaded but I can't get the to show instead of the normal front. Am I missing something? Edit: Solved it by deleting all normal front images.
  12. Jason Carr said Hi Fluffo, I do have this feature planned. I'll see if I can work it in soon. :) That would be great!
  13. I would love to see a feature that would use Steam grid images instead of the standard front images. Is this possible? Steam grid images can be found using this: cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/[game id]/header.jpg
  14. Jason Carr said ...and the beta is out. Import uninstalled Steam games to your heart's content. Let me know if you run into any issues, of course. That is awesome! I will test it now.
  15. Jason Carr said Indeed there has, Fluffo. I have a Steam API/user ID-based import in development, that should be out in an upcoming beta very shortly. Hopefully within the next couple of days. I am hammering through it this weekend. That is great! Could you reply to this thread when it is released? PS: You and SentaiBrad are incredibly fast when it comes to replies.
  16. Has there been any progress on this? (Specifically the non-installed Steamgames part.)

    Library folders

Jason Carr said Hi Fluffo, welcome. As for the moment, there is not a way to automatically scan for games on startup. That feature is definitely planned though, and will come eventually. That said, it is easy to drag and drop new games into LaunchBox currently. The games importers will also skip over any existing games to prevent duplicates, so you can re-run them at any time to add any new games in your folders. Thanks for the answer. I didn't know you could drag the games into LaunchBox.

    Library folders

Is there anyway to permanently add library folders that LaunchBox will scan for games at startup?
