  1. SentaiBrad said ZX Spectrum... I hope. Edit: .... Or a Commodore... but I stick by Spectrum. You nailed it!
  2. Magnavox Odyssey! I only know about this because the Angry Video Game Nerd did an episode about it. Also there was a big law suit between the creator of the Odyssey and Nolan Bushnell (creator of Atari).
  3. What games made you so frustrated as a kid you wanted to scream?!? Megaman 2 although one of my favorite games, it has scared me emotionally during childhood from the shear difficulty... Disappearing blocks anyone. Ghosts n Goblins.. nuff said. Last but not least.. Battletoads! Damn good game but I never could make it past the turbo tunnel. I eventually did a few years ago .. with some help ahem *save states* ahem. I swear the collision detection in that turbo tunnel is off! One of these days I'm tearing into the assembly to figure out how it all works
  4. The multiplayer mode options seem good. Additional field suggestions: - Alternate Title (as mentioned above) - Media (Floppy, Cassette, Cartridge, CD, DVD, etc.) - Manual
  5. Jason Carr said Good points @SentaiBrad. Screenshots are relatively easy to take and should be easy enough to get right. Box art may be different. Agreed. Seeing anti-aliasing when screenshots or sprites are enlarged is infuriating. Any re-sizing should be scaled 1:1 with hard edges to preserve that retro pixelated look. Any scanned/camera images such as box art are the exception in which any picture is a good one in my book because some box art is extremely hard to come by.
  6. FistyDollars said M-6502 said and a BIG thanks to Donarumo for adding the "export to LaunchBox" feature. Wait, you can DO that? I have the eXoDOS collection and I didn't notice he'd updated Meagre...ugh, I've been manually adding games this whole time... Oh dude, I feel your pain. I would have done the same thing but I noticed the discussion in the LB forums. Very cool when devs work together on stuff like this. FYI eXo's Win3xo collection can be imported into Meagre and you can export the entire collection!
  7. Drybonz said Man, I love that glass overlay you have on the box art. That looks so good. It would be cool if LB could support an art overlay in the game list so you could just make one overlay and have it displayed on each game. Thanks. Having a template option for cover art would be amazing. Also, if templates could have a 'fit to size' option that scaled all cover art to fit the template for consistency!
  8. Ran BigBox.exe through VirusTotal and comes up clean on all major vendors. There is only one false positive but it's from an AV called Qihoo-360 so no worries.
  9. Are there plans to open up the LaunchBox Games DB to allow public to contribute to populatiing? If so, I would love to help!
  10. Background: I've finally managed to download the entire eXoDOS 2.0 collection and a BIG thanks to Donarumo for adding the "export to LaunchBox" feature. These games make me super nostalgic. Theme: After an entire afternoon of google-imaging... I decided on a Futuristic/Fire/Space theme for this collection. I created a template in Photoshop so all I have to do is change the cover art layer for each game. Sounds simple enough but this is a task of biblical proportions as there are over 5K DOS games. I may write a script to automate the task ;) Future: Next tasks will be integrating the Win3xo into collection and the entire Apple ][ game library. Big thanks to Jason Carr for all the hard work put into this.
  11. Very polished and well done collection. I take it you have a template in Photoshop and fit the cover art to it?
  12. Merry Christmas Jason. Here's to a wonderful 2016!
