  1. I've always had the impression that 10 Yard Fight did this as well. Native to MAME, before even loading into Launchbox or Big Box - the title screens have always had text that looked 'cut off' by the screen. I've never really looked further into it as it doesn't totally upset game play - but I've always wondered...
  2. @SentaiBrad @Jason - I know Brad's on forum hiatus, but any plans on making a video on the data base and what can be done/we can do to assist? The thing that got me about HS was the lack of a knowledge base and the acceptance of any help at all. I believe the plan was to have something like a DB to be synced from, but I never saw it close to coming to eventuate. I think the community could be a great source for this - and maybe include some HS content creators to boot.
  3. mrloki76 said Hi all. I've followed the Tutorial but still having problems. I skipped the RA bit and opted to use MAME (x64) for ease (plus i have a control panel setup so buttons are automaticaly set to MAME defaults). I've imported my MAME ROM's and everything looks fine, but when i double click (or right click and 'Play') a game, it looks like MAME opens and closes immediately (just a flash on my screen). FYI the 'Play Count' in the metadata increases to suggest it loaded and closed. I have added the -skip_gameinfo -nowindow to the command line for the emulator also. Any suggestions? MAME build 0171 (and matching romset), LB V6 (BETA 11 i think - it just updated today) Hey MrLoki, I just wanted to say that I've been playing with MAME on and off for about 10 years and I got struck with the same problem as you described. I checked everything was working outside of Launch Box, pointing the ROMs path correctly and then getting back to LB and finding nothing working. Steam was coming out of my ears!! In the end, mine was a total rookie mistake. I even came here and found the thread and the answer... and still messed up. I was changing the path in MAME UI - but I wasn't saving it Oh dear. Lesson totally learnt. Now you (and I) have it all working - onward and upward 'eh??
  4. Loving the "Games for DOSBox" logo on the top of the Jewel case. It's the little touches...
  5. Thanks for the reply guys - I'll go off and try the beta.
  6. Hi all, I was just wondering if there was a way to remove game duplicates (MAME as an example) as I'm showing up to 8 versions of the one game, in circumstances. Is there a software aspect in LB I'm missing, or is there option to tune the xml anywhere? Totally enjoying the software - just looking to beat this little challenge. Cheers.
