  1. I didn't think the limit applied to NTFS file system but maybe I can ask you or someone running Win10 with the exact same file (since it is a no-intro file to try to copy that file to the root of your C:. This is the error I am getting: More concerning, when I try to right click and look at the properties, explorer craps on me.
  2. Agreed, strange. Yes I select "Force importing duplicate games". I am almost certain Jason the problem has to do with the length of the file name... Anyone familiar with the no intro set will likely confirm that one absurdly long file name is: D:\LaunchBox\Roms\Nintendo - Game Boy Advance\3 Games in 1 - Rugrats - I Gotta Go Party + SpongeBob SquarePants - SuperSponge + Tak and the Power of Juju (Europe) (En+En+En,Fr,De) Its very possible that windows or LB is not digging this and thus when you try to import everything, it just comes in blank. I've tested importing just this rom and I get the same issue. When I try to import 100+ "regular" length files, they import as they should. Is this a windows issue or a LB issue that can be addressed? I can pretty much guarantee I will not be disappointed if I can't add the following game to the collection :)
  3. Hey SentaiBrad, thanks for the quick response. I did initially disable downloading from Emumovies per a problem I had with Nintendo earlier in the week but for grins, I did update to the latest beta and unfortunately, the problem still appears to exist.
  4. So here is the scenario: LB Version 5.7 1) Importing Nintendo handhelds. GB and GBC have imported just fine. 2) Trying to import GBA using the same procedure as before: -"Add Folder" -select folder containing games -choose GBA as the platform -Retroarch as emulator -leave files in the folder -default settings for metadata -turn off all options for Emumovies and this is what it pulls up: Now, I thought the amount that I was trying to import may be chocking it, split the directory in half but same results. Also: - If I repeat the same process but choose a different folder (i.e. choose to import GB but set it as GBA during the import), games are identified -I can apparently load a game by dragging and dropping, 1 at a time. I cannot mass drag and drop as only maybe 10 games are seen.. Any suggestions?
  5. I have been scratching my head for the past 3 days on a very similar issue, if not the same. The first run at LB was version 5.5 and at the time, I had imported my NES, SNES, and N64 collection to test and had 0 issues. On a new build (fresh install --> 5.7), I imported the same NES set used for Hyperspin (uncompressed) @ 791 games, a good chunk would not port over (as in 157 of them). Decided to finally hit the board and see what was causing the issue and found this post. It was mentioned a bug in 5.6 caused some issues with Emumovies preventing importing so I figured for grins, leave it off. One of the games that did not import properly was Super Mario Brothers 3. This is what I have noticed: If I use Emumovies, and drag/drop Super Mario Brothers 3 over, it gives a 404 error, asks if I want to import it anyways (I say yes) and then says 0 games were imported If I do NOT user Emumovies, and drag/drop Super Mario Brothers 3 over, it ports just fine. Super Mario Bros 2 imported without an issue so from a naming perspective, the only difference is the number 2 and 3. I tested 2 this method on 2 other problematic games with success. At this point, I'll likely just delete and add the set again without Emumoives (which I am a paid member) Again, I've only spend a few hours here and there playing with LB and thus I've only imported my PC games and Nintendo sets (NES - Wii). So far, the only set experiencing this issue is the NES set which I suppose is why I'm a bit confused. I've attached an example trying to import Super Mario Bros. + Duck Hunt + World Class Track Meet game using Emumovies
  6. I suppose it was user error? For whatever reason, it would not do this correctly prior to my post. Today, I deleted all the media content under the "Images" folder, then deleted the games from LB. Repeated the export process, changed the setting from true to false under the .xml and then started LB. THIS TIME, a dialog box came up stating it was doing the conversion and there you go, it worked. Again, I'm sure I did something initially when I exported that prevented the process from running. Not sure if I understand what had happened but I do know that the images have now been ported over properly. Sorry for taking up forum space :) !
  7. Thanks for the quick response guys. Manually deleting (via del key) seems to be a good, workable solution.
  8. So, as I continue to dive into this fantastic front end, I'm trying to figure out a way to simplify the importing of PC games. Now clearly, the process is simple as it is so I should clarify...I'm realizing that when I do import, it finds duplicates and there appears to be no way to fix this until after I import which, I would then need to manually delete. An example is my Origin account which I have a handful of games on, specifically the C&C collection. When I go to import, I select: Tools --> Import --> Windows Games Click Next regarding all the image and meta downloads Do not check "Force import duplicate games" Then it parses and provides the results (attached). Most, but not all are going to show results from an installation folder as well as, the start menu. Is there a way to choose which one up front to reduce the manual process of deleting the duplicates. I suspect this is a similar problem with GOG as well...
  9. Greetings. Just started looking into this tonight. Did the import (awesome) but realized most of the images were not present. Following this thread, I closed out of LB, made the change (change from true to false) and after restarting LB, it automatically changes back to ture. This is in version 5.7 BTW. Is there something I am overlooking? Thanks!
  10. Oh my... First, excellent suggestions which prompted me to quadruple check my settings :) Because I have broken out my systems into the various regional names (PC Engine vs. TurboGrafx), I had essentially replicated the "TurboGrafx" associated name for RetroArch and changed it accordingly to what I had named it to; TurboGrafx CD. For the TurboGrafx CD section however I had it listed as: TurboGrafx CD -L "cores\mednafen_pce_fast_libretro.dll Note the lack of the " on the end of the string... sigh. Adding that fixed the problem! I appreciate the time you put into the response, much appreciated!
  11. New to the Launchbox scene. Its a refreshing interface that I'm currently testing to see if its the move I make from HyperSpin. My exposure is limited to just a few days but have come across an unusual issue that has me a bit confused at the moment. I have been using RetroArch (w/ HL and HS) for some time so the configuration should be just fine. For those wondering; yes, the syscard3.pce is in the correct folder (system) folder :) I've imported both my TurboGraphx-16 and TurboGraphx-CD collection into LaunchBox using RetroArch as the default emulator. Loading a non CD game (TurboGraphx-16) works as expected but when I load a CD based game (TurboGraphx-CD), nothing happens and I mean there no loading of RetroArch. If I right click on a CD game and choose "Open RetroArch" and then manually navigate to the game and load, it works fine. Not sure that Launchbox would capture any issue but is there any debug logs done by this frontend? It seems like such an obvious step that I'm missing but can't seem to figure out exactly what the issue is. For grins, I did import a handful of PSX games which also utilize RetroArch (via the Mednafen PSX core) and they load properly. What is unique about the TurboGraphx-CD that is keeping RetroArch from working? Side note: I did (very quickly) load the game via RocketLauncher. I haven't decided if I will continue to use RL and I suppose its just driving me insane that I havne't figured out what the problem. Anyone have any suggestions, ideas, thoughts on this? Did spend some time searching but haven't seen an issue that matches the exact issue I'm having. Thanks! -Joe
