Yes, I am pretty sure everything was as the tutorial mentioned but I may start over from a clean slate just to see if I missed anything. Both games already had .cue files packaged with the .iso files and that was what I had RA pointing to (I just gave it a shot and pointed to the .iso files with no luck too). I did manage to find a set of C++ redistributable installs from 2005 to 2013 and installed or repaired those that where already installed. No luck there. It does seem to not be related to LB since RA on its own will not work and last night I installed ePSXe and launched it on its own without success. ePSXe was not able to launch those games nor would it even boot to a BIOS. For the BIOS put in the RetroArch\System\ based on what it appeared in the tutorial, looks to hold as many or little BIOS files within there correct? One last thing, I was able to see when the emulators "crashed" that Event Viewer did log the events. I may add the screenshots of those, if that may help.

No, I get the same error trying to launch it in RA alone. Couldn't get that second image to work on last post so hopefully this one shows up.

Well, I downloaded RetroArch and got several cores for NES, SNES, and N64 which all work perfect. The only core I seen for PS1 was Mednafen PSX which I got as well. This one, however, is not working for me. I went to get another PS1 game to just make sure it wasn't with the one ISO. I get an error as below when I try to run the games through LaunchBox: I made sure that my BIOS files are located in ..\RetroArch\System\ and I even looked in the Emulator settings within LaunchBox where I had to add the .dll file as an Associated Platform. Now I do remember accidentally deleting a Microsoft Visual C++ Redistribution so one of these may be missing. Below is an image of the ones I do have to hopefully help troubleshoot that possibility. I must say, however, that I do enjoy RetroArch. Thanks for introducing it!

It is nice to see them still progressing with the series. Never have beat one but got the first three of them. Haven't played anything past Exile. Have you played any of the Broken Sword series?

Sorry for my question being somewhat vague. I have had good experience with PCSX2 and I figured since I had put a good deal of time in that emulator I would understand the one for PS1. RetroArch is one that I have not tried so I will give that one a shot. Outside of the BIOS, what are some good plugins that you guys recommend for RetroArch or would the same for PCSX work there?

I have been trying to get setup with a PS1 emulator and haven't had much luck yet. I have only been working between these two emulators with one game, Ape Escape, so I am not certain if it is "rom" related or settings needing configured. I have had more luck with PCSXr (reloaded) with this specific game to at least run. All preloaded GPU plugins or plugins from Pete's has not worked. I had a small break through of trying the GSDX GPU plugin from PS2 loaded in PCSXr however the game performed at 400 to 500 FPS (lol who would think about complaining of having too much FPS). I would prefer to get PCSXr with the PS2 GSDX plugin to work since this would have a bit cleaner graphics. Anyone have ideas? Running Windows 8.1, 8 Gb Ram, Intel i3, AMD Radeon R5 230.

Hey, thought to just say hello to everyone on the forums. I have been using LaunchBox for about 2 weeks and I must say this application is very clean and sleek. I love the aspect that you get more in depth with your games by the screenshots, box art and all the extra information. I have enjoyed playing ROMs for a long while and discovered LaunchBox upon finally deciding to move up a level in the emulation world and install PCSX2. So far got one ScummVM game, a couple Sega Genesis games running through Gens2, a good collection of SNES games running through ZSNES and obviously a good collection of PS2 games. I must say the flexibility with LaunchBox is awesome having the ability to connect with countless emulators and also how you seem to stay very involved with everyone on the forums. Keep up the great work Jason Carr!

I feel this would definitely optimize the relation between LaunchBox and PCSX2. About a week back or so I finally moved up to getting the PCSX2 emulator and quickly discovered how each game varies some in configuration. I started looking for options of this idea in itself for the emulator and was how I discovered LaunchBox (thinking it was able to do that). Yes, I was a small amount disappointed that this feature is not built into the software, but upon using it, I cannot do away with LaunchBox. I did discover 'PS2Lunch' (located here: http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-PS2Lunch-a-simple-launcher-for-PCSX2) but you had re-add all games into that outside of already locating the .iso files into the emulator. I didn't have much luck with it and felt it too much work for the worth. Definitely will give this a try!
