many thanks for your advice , i dont understand why bitdefender is flagging a virus , allthough i have added launchbox to whitelist , firewall , exclusion, and it still will not install launchbox

thanks for your reply when i import the games i tell it to run from location as it gives you a choice to move or run from location, may i ask why you are saying there is no problem with launchbox in the way of virus , i have added launchbox to the firewall of bitdefender and it is still saying virus, the only way i can install launchbox buy saying ignore

thanks for your reply ok the mame emulator is on the same drive as the roms just in 2 different folders but in mame, bigbox , launchbox , all are showing the correct path , with regards to the roms we have told lauchbox to use them from there location ,

thanks for your reply the only way i can install it is by ignoring the error in post 1, can you see what i mean by this machine has no bios and yet it was 173 split pack so i am confused

hi thanks for your reply ok , if i try and install launchbox i get the error as above even after uninstalling and redownloading launchbox , with mame the 173 split set all roms and bios are in there own folder and compressed and not in mame rom folder,no games will work as mame is saying there is no bios on this machine,

thanks for your reply , we have installed launchbox before but was getting warnings from bitdefender on several files saying about virus, i have been having problems with launchbox for some time , getting correct roms, bios, etc allthough when i got a split pack of mame 173 the bios is suppose to be in with the pack but none of the games will run , i have tried to uninstall and reinstall , downloaded sereral packs of roms and bios but at the moment nothing seems to work , i have even tried to reinstall using admin still get the same error as above , thanks

hi many thanks for your replys , i have searched around for a bios 173, as the 173 split pack was the one i was advised to get i have done a video of what is happening but for some reason it did not record mame saying there is no bios on this machine all though there is a bios pack in with the roms , the only difference is that the roms are not in the mame rom folder as i told launchbox to use the roms from where they are, if the split pack 173 has got the bios files then why are the games running thanks [CODE]https://youtu.be/QRcndH6Y5S8[/CODE]

hi i am using a split pack for mame 173 and the only bios i could find was this could not find 1 for 173 not even torrent now all mame games wont work thanks

thanks for your reply i have installed retroarch 64bit , installed c++ for both i still get the same error on retroarch when opening playstation games , runtime error closed in unsall way , but i dont understand why the other systems dont work as i have installed all the cores and updated in retroarch

many thanks for your reply i had a lok and found a video on youtube but no luck still getting the same errors , the pc is about 1 yr old upgraded to windows 10 , i am also having problems with different games we have nstalled this and retroarch according to there instructions , but finding some systems do not work all though we have installed every core in retoarch , the game systems that dont seem to work are , amiga , amiga cd32 , commodore 64 , best of amiga , magnavox odyssey , msx, sega cd, sega dreamcast , sega genesis , with playstation we are getting a microsoft visual c++runtime library runtime error retroarch.exe , thanks

many thanks for your reply the download was over 52gb so i would have thought it was a full split set, i cannot see the bios files in the rom set so not 1 game works , in launchbox or mame thanks

many thanks for your reply , after i have added all the games allthough i uncheck everything apart from certain boxes, i get games up that are doubled , no pictures , and no game works not even in mame i am looking for a bios pack for mame 173 , i looked on the site you gave me by pm but nothing there , when you get a bios pack does it have to match the version of mame that you are using ? with the games i had over 33,000 files but only got 4,300 games would this be correct i would have thought that there would be more games . thanks

many thanks for your replys i did try this in kodi by installing launchbox into appdata of kodi and then went to file manager and created a link from appdata to file manager , then i saw in launchbox a folder called games inside there was arcade i made it a favourite and then created a submenu from favourites but did not work as it seems that it needs bigbox to launch launchbox so you can see the games , will there be a development in the future where we can add game categories to the submenu of kodi and not just launch bigbox to launch launchbox for the games thanks
