  1. Exactly my thoughts, such a list would be wonderful. Arcade ports such as Tekken 4 & 5 are playable only on PCSX2, however the list (including Japanese exclusives) must be massive!
  2. RetroArch as in China or the word arch itself. I believe it's supposed to mean that it acts as an structural arch between open source emulators. Unless I'm wrong and it's supposed to stand for "archive" so it should sound like Noah's ark. I don't believe there's official documentation about its name. And I agree, the name sucks. It should be called RetroCenter or something.
  3. Any chance that future themes could allow little icons before each system like the OpenEmu libretro interface for Mac? PS: I just found a potential bug. Options > Theme > Colors keeps resetting to random (custom) on each launch. Any way to set it permanently to my scheme of choice?
  4. Any Ryzen 5 2400G owners here? Could you please tell me your personal experience with that APU (stock clock) in these demanding RA cores? - Mednafen Saturn - Parallel N64 with Multithreaded Angrylion - Reicast OIT - Dolphin for both GC and Wii
  5. Here we go again! Good luck guys, keep up the good work!
  6. Due to space limitations (my 4TB drive is already packed with disc images) I use .7z archives for CD/DVD systems. I don't mind waiting a minute or two for them to load, I'm fine with it. However, I can't find where the filetype priorities for each emulator are. I extract the archives with "Extract ROM archives before running" (LB's method I guess?) and the games load normally. I'm not quite sure though, as my images are in bin/cue format, if I'm loading the .bin instead of the .cue sheet and I will face problems once another track should be loaded at some point by the emulator. How do I make sure that both .cue and .bin files are temporarily extracted and the emulator always loads the .cue file?
  7. I found a temporary solution by using HotKey Resolution Changer (my desktop resolution is assigned to *) and a tiny AHK script for RetroArch (my exit key is F12): esc:: Send {F12 down}{NumpadMult down} KeyWait, esc Send {F12 up}{NumpadMult up} return
  8. Yeah, it's a Mac-only interface for libretro AFAIK. Very limited in customization options though, nowhere near as complete as LaunchBox.
  9. It's indeed some cute icing on the cake. Crossing my fingers this could be added... ?
  10. I am running RetroArch at a custom resolution with video_windowed_fullscreen set to false (because if set to true, the video_fullscreen_x and y values are ignored and RA retains the OS resolution). The issue here is that when I exit RetroArch, the resolution doesn't go back to my desktop's, it remains at the video_fullscreen_x/y values. Any way to fix that? Maybe CLI to set the resolution from LaunchBox command-line parameters (can't find any info on them) instead of the RA config file?
  11. hahah I was wondering if it's possible to use custom icons before each platform in LaunchBox, kind of like OpenEmu: I can't find a field for icons, only Banner, Clear Logo, Device and Fanart, while I'd love to see the device png appear on the left as an icon (or use a custom .ico).
  12. Fantastic! I edited Platforms.xml for quicker access and copy/pasted the release date in that field, since it's using the Japanese standard of yyyy-mm-dd. Can I ask another question here without opening another topic?
  13. I wasn't very lucky in finding results about this. Is there a way to arrange platforms by release date (or other orders) instead of system names? Especially in Big Box, it would look much better to me if oldest systems showed first and each one followed the other historically (or the opposite).
  14. Same with Dan. That's a brand new bug in the final for me, as it didn't happen before I also experience an additional issue, with RetroArch starting unfocused and having to click or use Alt+Tab.
  15. Ogg Vorbis was the devil here! Verified multiple times now, .ogg files cause the little VLC window to popup. It happens randomly during playback (not between tracks).
  16. I finally fixed the VLC popup window bug. I did three things at the same time before trying out if the bug is gone (I was pretty sure they wouldn't help). 1) Installed a fresh copy of DirectX redistributable 2) Transcoded all my audio files to plain MP3 (I had several OGG tracks) 3) Downgraded my graphics driver (Intel Iris graphics) I will later try again using the old tracks in order to exclude the possibility it was caused by Vorbis audio.
  17. So here's another reason I completely dislike Windows 10. Random stuff keep changing without any notice and messing with my system's reliability. I tried to manually update to 3.x but it seems only compatible with 2.x versions. I cross my fingers that a new version including VLC 3.x will fix that.
  18. I completely removed VLC and its settings, downloaded several 2.x.x versions of VLC and replaced it, messed with vlc.cfg settings... the crazy little window keeps appearing! I noticed that its icon is that of Big Box so I assume that VLC within the software becomes "part of it" in some way? What should be noted is that VLC's popup appears unrelated to a music track ending, it's usually anywhere in the middle of playback.
  19. I changed those settings via the VLC GUI (both x64 and x86) but didn't change that behaviour. It feels like VLC tries to pop-out of Big Box and strangely enough, it's happening even with WMP is set as the media player. Could it be something on vlc.cfg that could be changed? I don't see any Direct2D options though...
  20. I have to mention that I face a strange problem with VLC that is exclusive to Big Box and didn't happen with the stable version. I actually didn't experience it with previous beta versions either but it could be coincidence since it's quite random but will eventually happen after a few minutes. A VLC window keeps popping up (regardless of which theme is used), making Big Box to lose focus and I have to click anywhere in order to focus back to Big Box. Not a huge deal but quite annoying, especially for my arcade build. I already made a separate topic about it here:
  21. @eatkinola it happens with the default theme as well. Here's what it looks like with CriticalZone: And with Default: @neil9000 I deleted the VLC folder, it was recovered but the issue remains the same. Edit: The name of the window is VLC (Direct3D output)
  22. CriticalZoneV2, happens with both BlueBox and Default variations.
  23. With the latest beta update, I experience a random VLC window popup on Big Box that causes the frontend to lose focus and pause. I avoid it by blindly clicking on Big Box in order to focus back. Note that I am fully using background music and videos, while switching to WMP didn't change the random VLC popup (I guess music still plays on VLC).
  24. Any news on that? I would really like to be able to set or mute video snap volume
  25. I would like to make a few games to use a different (more accurate) core. I can't find any option for that so I assume that I need to edit the particular games and use "custom command-line parameters". What do I need to put there for an alternative core or is there another option to change it per game? Cheers
