Only updated launch box

I have been using Launchbox for a year or so and it's ,great updated to Mame .184 8 or nine months ago and everything worked fine. Well hadn't been on my arcade for the 5 or 6 months went to play it and now suddenly no mame games will launch, all the other platforms work great still even daphine. Everything including mame was working before. I was wandering if maybe something changes in one of the updates i did when i came back maybe a pathway change or anything. Any help would be great having a party this weeked and trying to get it going so everyone can play. Thanks, Jason

First time i have done MAME since they merged it with Mess, just wanted to make sure that an unmerged rom pack only has arcade roms and not other systems now. Didn't want to import them wrong. Thanks, Jason

Your suggestion worked but still only one controller when using retroarch strange.

It worked fine before just quit working after the windows 10 upgrade, but i will try that.

Updated to windows 10 haveing one strange problem, i have an arcade machine and my ipac controls still work great. I also use 360 wireless controllers with a dongle, the strange thing is player one still connects and works great but player 2 even though it shows connected to the computer it doesn't work in launchbox, big box, or retroarch. Strange maybe someone has an idea, thanks so much! Jason

Crazy problem, hoping someone has an answer. Every since i upgraded to windows 10 big box works great but launch box every time i start it the program launches but it constantly scrolls up like its locked in that position. No other programs have this problem and i have redownloaded launchbox but same problem. Now if i load it in a different directory and launch it , it works fine but of course all of my sytems games and media are not loaded there. Anyone else had this program?

Thanks, actually i had just figured it out from response on another post, i added the non ui version and enabled the plugin and added the correct folders after thats its enabled even if you launch from the ui version

I must be missing something, got everything working great, even cheats. Trying to ad hi score support(i downloaded the hi score dat file and put it in the "dats" folder and created a new folder call "hi"). Am i missing a step becasue still won't save high scores. ..

Sweet missed that awesome! Also in Launchbox you just point the Arcade emulator to the MameUI64.application correct

It's not a big deal, i just had it skipping it in my old version.

The screen that comes up and tells you if its a working rom and you have to hit a key to pass it.

MameUI seems great one question. Is there a setting to get rid of the nag screen?

Also what do you all think is the best mame program.

I now have full mame(Non-Merged) and chd set .184(yes i know .185 just came out lol)(and thanks to those who pointed me in the right direction). I have always had a preconfigured mame set. My question is do i need to run this through clrmamepro or what else needs to be done before using it. Sorry i have done and set up a lot of systems both here and in hyperspin, but i have always used my old mame setup i got ready to go. so this is new to me jnust want to do it the best way possible.

Would love to do the .184 full pack, but unfortunately, have had no luck finding any full sets, past .161.

I'm Starting with a full mame with chd set .161, i have all the update packs to make mame the current editon, so i'm going to use clrmamepro and add each update one by one tell i'm current. My questions is - Is there seperate updated for the chd's or are thhey part of the regular updates? Thanks, Jason

This is probably a really dumb question, i mame .161 up and running great in launch box. I'm to update all the way to .183, i have all the update packs and am ready to go. My plan is to unzip each update one at a time and cope and paste over into the mame roms folder one update at a time until i reach .183 and then after that have launch box search for any new roms. Is this the correct way to do it? I was bout to start but then i read you have to through clrmame pro to update whuch i have never used, By the way i believe i have the Non Merged set becasue i have around 30,000 roms shown in the roms folder. Just to let you know i found a way to get a list of what roms are combined. All you have to do is audit this platforms roms, then sort by the column that says additional apps. Then you can see how many total combined roms there are also rom many roms combind with each one.

Was wanting to try out the shaders in retroarch. When watch the tutorials theres is a scetion to click on in retroarch for shaders, but its not on mine. The only place i can find to edit shaders is if you click on the indvidual game while in retroarch menu then it will give you a shader option, but i would guess that if you change it there it will only be for that game and not the whole emulator any ideas?
