  1. Okay Brad I got it working. I ended up getting rid of the AHK as that was the issue with it. As some may know, the automation process does not work with Mednafen. I have my automation process set up to hold the BACK button on my controller and to press the START button to exit. In Mednafen, you could remap the buttons, especially to a combination. You have to hold the SHIFT key and press F2. Anyway, thanks for all of the help and for replying so fast. Excellent community over here!
  2. Thanks. I actually just figured out what was wrong but now it created a new problem. The automation process to close emulators does not work with Mednafen. I found an AHK script that I have been using so I could close the emulator with my Xbox One controller by holding one button and pressing another. The script is: $Esc:: { Process, Close, {{{StartupEXE}}} } I think the problem is the command because if I exit with my controller or by hitting the ESC key it doesn't save. If I hit the default exit key for Mednafen (F12) it saves. If I remove the AHK script it saves with ESC and F12. You wouldn't happen to know a workaround would you? I would rather not have to use another program like xpadder or joy2key. Thanks again for all of your help Brad!
  3. Ok thanks Brad. I really like mednafen but I think I will give those other a try. I also use Mednafen for VB and TG16 but I don't have to worry about battery saves. Question: do you think Launchbox is blocking access to write information to the Mednafen folder? I use Mednafen for PS1 also and while I have not set it up yet, I am wondering if it's going to do the same thing to memory cards.
  4. Is that used with retro arch? I don't have that setup. I use standalone emulators for all of my platforms.
  5. Hello all, I am having this weird issue where game boy and game boy color games are not saving in mednafen. This only applies to games that have a battery save function. Save states work fine. If I load a game in mednafen outside of launchbox a game will save but nothing saves when the game is launched within launchbox/big box. This may also relate to another problem I have with mednafen and saving controller inputs. Like the saves, I have to set the controller inputs in mednafen outside of launchbox because if I launch a game in mednafen through launchbox and set up my controller inputs, they are forgotten the next time I load a game. Thanks in advance!
  6. Hello everyone, I posted this question under the wrong thread and was advised to come here to see if I could get some help. Well, here I go: Is there a repository to download Baker's platform intro videos or will there be one? I am using the option in Launchbox and it downloads them but I am having some issues. I see on his forum post that there are 2 SNES videos (one with the North American console and one with the Super Famicom console). I want the video with the North American SNES but when I download the video, its the one the the Super Famicom in it. Also, I see on his same forum post that there are other platform videos created but they haven't downloaded for me. One example is the TurboGrafx-16. Nothing downloads for that platform. I changed the name in Launchbox to NEC TurboGrafx-16 thinking it may download it under that name but no luck. I understand that this feature is still very new. I guess I just want to know if I am doing anything wrong or I just need to wait a little longer until all of the kinks get worked out. Thanks in advance!
  7. @CriticalCid Thank you so much for the helpful information. I saw the notes section under Manage Platforms but I didn't think that was where the Overview information went. I thought it was for something else. It makes send now that the Notes weren't scraped from the Launchbox DB for those two platforms because they don't have a description there. I just wanted to make sure there was nothing wrong on my end. I am happy to be able to add this information there so there isn't a big empty space. I am using your theme (with the horizontal wheel) and its truly effin boss. @kmoney Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I have downloaded CleanBG last week but I must have overlooked the other file. Hopefully there will be more made for the obscure systems that are missing. Both of you guys have been really helpful. Thank you for taking the time to help me out. I do have one more question and wanted to know if either of you or someone else could help. Is there a repository to download Baker's platform intro videos? I am using the option in Launchbox and it downloads them but I am having some issues. I see on his forum post that there are 2 SNES videos (one with the North American console and one with the Super Famicom console). 8. Hello everyone, New user here. I downloaded launchbox about two weeks ago and after playing around with it for a few minutes I quickly realized this is frontend I have been looking for. I have dabbled with others but this one is simply the best. I instantly purchaseI am hoping the community is just as great as the software and someone could help me out. Here is my question (actually two questions): 1. I am looking a particular set of fanart backgrounds that I could use per platform on the game selection screen. I see them in some of the newer videos that Jason makes. They are also in the theme CleanBG but they have consoles on them and I want the ones with no consoles. The backgrounds just consist of a wall of small game boxes pertaining to that console. It is like a big collage of many little game boxes. I am looking for as many as I could get as I would like one for each platform when at the game selection screen. 2. I only have a few platforms setup at the moment. The first 5 I did all have a platform overview section on my main screen in Big Box with information. The last two platforms I added (virtual boy and game boy) have no information underneath the overview section on my main screen. Do these console have information and maybe it didn't download or is there anyway to add my own? They have platform details, such as CPU, Sound and so on, but no overview info. Hopefully I did not post this in the wrong section. Thanks in advance!
