While I continue to plan and sort my bartop build I have done some work on a handheld setup. I have a Samsung s7 Edge with retroarch and drastic ds on it. For the gamepad I ordered one of these: http://gamesir.hk/?p=1&a=view&r=9 (Gamesir G3) The build quality on it is quite good actually. Best bang for your buck on a mobile controller IMO. To go with it I bought: http://www.adonit.net/jot/mark/ (Adonit Mark) which is a stylus for when I'm playing Nintendo DS backups. A finger would do but I I wanted to mimic the feel of a real ds. This thing does the trick nicely. It especially makes the two stylus-centric Zelda games more playable. In retroarch I have access to a collection of GB, GBC, GBA, NES, SNES, N64 and Genesis games. The three handhelds have shaders that mimic their screens. For the home consoles I play them using a GBA style shader to make them feel like they are true handheld games. In the case of the N64 I also turn the resolution down. Just a neat little touch.
