  1. Cheers, all is well again. ^^
  2. Hey everyone, I recently had to wipe my entire setup (super sucks) and without even thinking about it until later I no longer have access to my premium key. Is there a way to retrieve it now?
  3. https://www.dreamstime.com/stock-illustration-set-flat-vector-video-game-controllers-image58410816 costs money I'm pretty sure but its an option.
  4. I was looking at one of those but it looks so funky I just couldn't trust it. I'm happy with my gamesir.
  5. While I continue to plan and sort my bartop build I have done some work on a handheld setup. I have a Samsung s7 Edge with retroarch and drastic ds on it. For the gamepad I ordered one of these: http://gamesir.hk/?p=1&a=view&r=9 (Gamesir G3) The build quality on it is quite good actually. Best bang for your buck on a mobile controller IMO. To go with it I bought: http://www.adonit.net/jot/mark/ (Adonit Mark) which is a stylus for when I'm playing Nintendo DS backups. A finger would do but I I wanted to mimic the feel of a real ds. This thing does the trick nicely. It especially makes the two stylus-centric Zelda games more playable. In retroarch I have access to a collection of GB, GBC, GBA, NES, SNES, N64 and Genesis games. The three handhelds have shaders that mimic their screens. For the home consoles I play them using a GBA style shader to make them feel like they are true handheld games. In the case of the N64 I also turn the resolution down. Just a neat little touch.
  6. A digital marquee would be pretty neat! I made a few more variations. (1 more with 3 different colors) As always I'm open to ideas.
  7. I've been working on some Marquees and I'd like some help choosing which one to use. Which one do you like best? Do you like a combination of more than one? It sucks all together do something else? Inspiration was drawn from old school pong. Black logo, off white box with yellow/orange stripes. Very clean and vintage in my mind. My goal is for this thing to look and feel premium. I will work on some control graphics next. As far as which marquee I like the best... I'm partial to number 3.
  8. I met a guy that is able to cut the pieces for me so it should be considerably cheaper on that front now. it also brings me to control layouts... Since I don't have to use the included one what's the best configuration for a combo of mame, nes, SNES, Genesis? I found one that had 10 buttons. What's the max needed?
  9. I'm looking to do a classic, simple retro design. So pin stripes, nothing too flashy. Clean lines.
  10. I'm going to use just solid colored buttons. Not a fan of the glowing buttons. I do like led strips under neath and what have you though.
  11. Thanks for the suggestion. What is LEDBlinky? Just makes leds flash based on events or something? I don't plan on having glowing buttons.
  12. I've done some digging around looking at which type of cabinet I want to get. I think I have settled on one. http://shop.harumancustoms.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=71 As far as dimensions its: Dimension Height 27.5 inches Width (main cabinet) 20.85 inches Width (control panel) 24.5 inches Depth 21 inches What kind of room am I going to have in this thing for parts? Not a great deal I would think by the looks of it. I also have a question about the controls. It needs 22 OSBN 30mm buttons and 2 JLF joysticks. My first question is how do I hook these things up to a PC? I assume some sort of usb adapter will be needed. Secondly as far as the joysticks are concerned there seems to be a few different options. Does it matter if I go with the plate or no plate?
  13. Could you do a couple WII harvest moon logos? Thanks!
  14. I suppose depending on the size of the cabinet I could use my old computer parts. I regularly upgrade so I have some pretty beefy parts I'm trying to sell. Then again I could use that money towards one of those intel i7 boxes. They look crazy. I have some decisions to make...
  15. This is more along the lines of what I'd like.
