here's a short video on what I mean. you just copy and paste the url of the image into the Windows Explorer dialog box
-
You can paste an URL into the Windows explorer dialog when you add an image. Windows will download the image (works like 99% of the time). Just make sure to click on the save/ok for lunchbox to copy the image to it's images folder. Windows downloads the image to the temp internet folder and if you wait to long windows will clear the cache

If the art work is neat looking I like having multiple box art, disc, clear logos. Lunchbox will pick one from the multiples. Get to randomly see the cool / alternate art work.
If I wanna keep it I change the image type from box front to fan art front box or whatever

Need directx 9 and it installs to the c drive, with windows (that's just how it works)
-
Might have to run the core and look inside the retroarch history playlist (with a text editor) to see the specifics

Xenia Xbox 360 emulator

If the rom file isn't in the platform root directory lunchbox will do that when adding games. I wish it wouldn't, because sometimes the rom for a game needs to be in its own folder

been trying to figure this out. I wanted the game launched thru teknoparrot. I went youtube searching and found a video but they didn't explain anything, just showed it working. After looking and looking I found this forum post
(((Moderator: Deleted link as Emuline site contains roms))). with these downloads ArcCabView
I used the ArcCabView generic version and followed the readme.
Now GigaWing Generations launches from TeknoParrot UI and launchbox in the correct mode with bezels

In the launch options for the game maybe finding the gameid and adding steam://rungameid/thesteamidnumber
See if it launches the game. Also having the steam game url will also allow launchbox to download Metadata from steam

I believe in the future Windows 11 will have the Google play store but for now (in the Insider builds maybe?) there's supposed to be the Amazon App store

After successfully importing. See what happens when you just download media per game
-
Try importing without downloading media

Parsec is a good program for remoting in to a computer and it supports gamepads. There is also Steam in home streaming. I use Splashtop personal for general remote stuff as well. As for a laptop just about anything really, I would just make sure it has good wifi ac (5ghz) and at least a 1080p screen. Also a good keyboard and trackpad

Happens to me too. I have to wait and wait then finally the edit window opens and responds
-
Might need an ahk script that sends the keyboard shortcut to exit retroarch so retroarch can write the files it needs to as its closing
-
Use the variable %romfile%

I think Microsoft one drive can work in this way. Once a file is opened it gets downloaded. Don't know if Dropbox or Google storage is the same. People who use other cloud storage services would have to comment with their experience.

On PleasureDome you can go to the MAME software list chd download and start it in Qbittorrent (really recommend it if only for the MAME stuff other clients struggle) uncheck all and then just check the psx folder (unless you see some other systems that interest you) and there you have a chd PS set
That is how I got my psx games. There just are not any European roms in the collection. Which there are some Japanese games released in Europe in English so I've hunted those down separately.
-
Yup chds and the beetle core in retroarch work great together. I downloaded a whole chd torrent collection for psx from a dome place...
-
I've used a program called pakkiso to uncompress those type of compressed roms. Then most Emulators can load the cue or other files
-
this is the main reason I use retroarch for fba and mame. Once you start using retroarch for mame then you can start researching and testing and playing around with ini files and mame bezels. Other then the mame core not using opengl or direct video renderer it works pretty work and the controllers work easier.

What I do now is just update the missing media then run image cleanup and if I run into an image I don't like I delete it (usually fanart backgrounds or bad looking front box) using the launchbox interface.
Please don't remove and accept the new entry Double Dragon from MSX
