  1. Thanks for the reply CAD, you're right I'm likely already on the latest DX9 so I'll just wait it out.
  2. I got the following error message during the upgrade installation for 7.0 stable. The download was taking a while so I stepped away from my computer and when I returned I found this error on the screen. The application still launches fine and I'm not seeing any problems but figured I'd ask if I should do anything. I assume this is when the elevated prompt to install DX was there but possibly timed out? Can I run the stable install over top of my current installation again? Thanks!
  3. @Jason Carr I'm happy to report the performance on V7 - Beta 22 is much improved! I just started to use it but can see the difference right away, I'll test a little more tonight though and report back. Thanks for the quick updates Jason, really appreciate the work you put in!
  4. It's good to hear that it's been recognized and hopefully gets fixed up soon. I may try and switch over to the stable release for a while as I've noticed the BigBox performance is much better So it's possible to merge my library over? That would save a lot of time, I'd do it if it won't cause any conflicts.
  5. I have actually noticed you doing tons of soundtracks, what do you normally use them for?
  6. I recently updated LaunchBox to 7.0 Beta 21 and launched it via my Steam Link and found BoxBox performance had degraded. It's most noticeable in the options menus but can also be problematic in the games list view. At first I thought it was possible network issues on the Steam Link but I stopped streaming and connected my controller directly to my PC and had the same issues. My library has recently got larger and thought this could have been a factor as well so I started troubleshooting. I checked the overall performance of my computer and it was fine, nothing out of the ordinary and very low memory and CPU usage. Completed clean install of LaunchBox in a new location upgraded to Beta v7-21 with only one ROM imported and issue remained. Completed another clean install of LaunchBox in another location but left it at stable and only one ROM imported and could not replicate the issue. All settings were left default, other than setting up a SNES core in Retroarch. Not sure if this makes sense but I could only make the lag/stutter happen with my controller, keyboard seems better. The lag happens when moving up and down in the options and sometimes button presses don't register, can take several presses before its accepted. Moving up and down can skip several times and just stutter from option to option. The issue is worse on my primary install with V7 Beta 21 and the larger library but still very much noticeable in my testing with only one ROM imported. Is there an easy way to copy my library over to the stable version without having to go through the import process? I would like to test the stable version with a larger library (approx 3200 games) and see if I'm able to replicate the issue. Also is approx 3200 games considered a large library for LaunchBox? I have a few themes installed with the video snaps, etc. Is there something common that can slow down BigBox performance? I can make a video if that will help! Thanks,
  7. If you explain it that way it makes sense that the integrity check would have issues with existing games and duplicate images. I would like to report I was able to resolve the issue after changing the following setting I stopped getting the error message. Tools > Options Images Default Background I changed it from "Use desktop wallpaper" to "Use LaunchBox default background" I guess LaunchBox was having difficulty gaining permissions over my Windows background and generating the error message. I was able to replicate the error message by changing the setting back and forth. It might be worth noting for future beta builds if others can replicate the error message too. Thanks again for the help.
  8. As a workaround to my problem, I deleted the platform images folder before I attempt to re-load the roms. Also the function does seem to work for the most part as it does delete images but I can't say its completely successful as I get the error message noted earlier. I've tried opening LaunchBox as an administrator as well with the same results unfortunately. None of you get this error message then I guess?
  9. I'll try that when I get home but in theory Launchbox will always have an instance running as it needs to be open to run the command. I do, I have duplicate images from the import testing I was doing when I first got Launchbox. Thanks for the replies gents
  10. Hi everyone - I'm new to launch box and was getting used to the import features and attempting to create a library for myself. In turn I imported a few times and now have duplicate images on a few titles that I wanted to try and remove. I found LaunchBox has this feature built in however when I run it I get an error message. The error looks like its attempting to read the background image, I assumed from the selected title at the time. I closed LaunchBox and ensured no game was selected and ran the cleanup again but it still fails. Is this message by design or is this crashing before it does the cleanup completely? Any suggestions are appreciated!! Thanks
  11. I had the same problem just now and can also confirm upping the cache memory limit has fixed the issue. I have 16gb of ram, am I alright with upping from the default to 1gb? Edit: oh and this is my first post of many I'm sure!
