Have to say if this were a few years ago i dare say you would be even more "hopeless" in your endeavors. Things have come a long way both with emulation and LB/BB. I will say though that LB and BB are hands down THE easiest to setup. Its very lazy on our part. It really practically does it all for you. The devs kinda built it that way. And its always improving. You literally just have to tell it where to look for stuff. There are plenty of people here who would help. Even if your question seems daft and silly. If you don't know the answer, someone will. Once it clicks it really is a breeze. If you give us an example of an issue, im sure it would be sorted in no time. Honestly hang in there and stick with it đ It really is worth it.

Our Wall mounted dedicated cabinet.
TR1CKST3R replied to TR1CKST3R's topic in Collections and Builds
Hey man sorry been very busy only just seen your reply. The original shop went into liquidation a while back. However i googled and found the manufacturer has his own site now. https://knockoutarcades.com/wall-mounted-cabinet-kits The white pack is the one i used. This is UK based so not sure where your located for delivery purposes etc. But you now have the info đ **I will add i have modified mine a bit from original over the years!** -
Howdy all! I Just thought id share what we predominantly use launchbox/bigbox to play retro stuff on in our home. It's also got some steam games that work well with the arcade buttons. Its nothing mega special, but this gets used daily in our house. If not by me then either my daughters and even the mrs plays when she is feeling like a game. Just running win10, an old Intel I5 sandybridge and Nvidia gtx780 inside. Using IPac2 for control interface in Xinput mode. Runs all up to and including PS1 pretty decently. And the steam games fairly well. I don't have a huge collection of games. Not really keen on having the largest collection. I tried to fill it mostly with games we enjoy that work well with the arcade setup, and we will actually play. Can't explain just how much joy this brings to our home and cant thank you devs enough for allowing this. Without the stella software that is Launch/big box. Hands down the best frontend out there for emulation in my opinion. So thank you guys! Anyways thanks for looking đđšī¸đžđŽ c7d57255-deab-439b-94f3-486c30421030-1_all_50.mp4 1000004908.mp4 PXL_20240831_171336749.mp4

Not sure if this is any use to you. I just rolled back a build and got it working fine. https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-dolphin-won-t-start-at-all if you read that thread seems to be a couple solutions. I'm sure it will get fixed eventually.

I thought I would just share a game that me and my daughter have recently become addicted to playing on our cabinet. Decent graphics and gets progressively more difficult with each level. level achievements to unlock and also ship power up progression. Some of you may already have this, but for those that don't its worth a go and relatively low priced. Works very well in a cabinet. It also has a sequel! https://store.steampowered.com/app/355050/Sky_Force_Anniversary/

boxart ââWhat is your favourite piece of video game box artâ
TR1CKST3R replied to AstroBob's topic in Community Corner
Always had a soft spot for this particular image. Cant really explain why, I just remember looking at it as a kid, and being amazed by it. -
As already stated. keep the core gameplay the same. Just touch up graphics, controls and audio. Surely you can't go wrong then really. Maybe online function's and or a Leader board at a stretch for some games.

Retroarch mapping a winipac controller to cores
TR1CKST3R replied to gstratto's topic in Troubleshooting
Howdy, Id like to help here but im really unsure as to your goal? Are you trying to map 2 seperate player inputs to essentially one controller? What's your winipac running? Is it an ipac2 and arcade buttons? Or are you simply just wanting to input controls for the core in general? If the latter then you can simply map all you're keys to a master input file for the whole of retroarches' cores! Really confused me reading your OP but would like to help if possible đ -
Funny you bring this up. I have literally just swapped my I-pac2 to controller/xinput. So far nothing a miss for me personally. Another good tip also make sure to set your directional inputs to Ljoy P1/P2 respectively for movement on the Ipac board. Opens up a few more options for games from steam etc that don't support d-pad inputs. I have just been installing and testing games which work and there are quite a few that work flawlessly. Also a few not so smooth titles but definitely playable. Big box works, retroarch works, mame works. You just have to go through and re input controls for each platform/emulator. if you find big box doesn't initially recognise your controller, there are controller options in the menu. Just have a play about with tick boxes etc until it registers. Me and my daughter have been really enjoying playing Skyforce-anniversary together, its a Shmup. Not playable without the joy input đ Good luck! Hope it works out for you.

Thanks âēī¸ Yeah i just had to test the shmup setup. And i couldn't think of a more perfect game to test with ? Thanks ? I'm using the Default Vertical Custom theme created by Maddoc1007 i believe its in the download section on this forum! it works rather well for my needs. Pretty basic but does the job!

Hey all, First of all i have to give a big shout out to you unbroken devs because this software really is on point ?! It does exactly what it needs to and much much more. it really is turning out to be something special. So well done to you guys! So I've had the LaunchBox software for a while now and i had been toying with a crazy idea to build myself a little virtual pinball / vertical arcade machine. The main goal of this machine was CHEAP! I had all the materials laying around from various previous DIY projects and the monitor and 32" LCD were also freebies i had laying around. I didn't use any plans and just kind of went in blind. Its nothing special at all really and its a little rough around the edges but it works and it was very cheap to build. Now just need to tie up some loose ends, get some decals on it and then its all good to go. The PC inside is kind of slow and somewhat sluggish at best with cpu tasks (something to update at a later time), and it does struggle with the actual software running and game play at times but overall its really quite playable. I currently have it set up on Win7 and it boots straight into bigbox and straight into my one and only platform category "Pinball" ? Using Pinball FX2 and FX3 via steam and it works great. (Plans to add some Shmups and vertical mame games are in the works. The controls are there just need to decided which games to put in). So yeah here you go its nothing special but its fun and has given me, my friends and family countless hours of fun so far! 20180624_215412.mp4
