I have had a look and can’t find an answer already, I am about to rebuild LaunchBox from new. Re importing everything. Is there a way to change the default folders before I start? Essentially I want all media on the LaunchBox SSD video and roms go on a different disk. I know I can edit the xml after the import, or I can leave the files in current location when I import but I want Launchbox to manage al the folder locations for me.

Sorry... sorted.... I fat fingered the wrong location!!!! Add files using *.extension -"DEMO" worked perfectly!!! Thank you

yeah have tried that (what I currently do out side of Launchbox. The add files feature doesn't support nested folders... if I add a folder it will see the .chd in a folder... if I add files and search for them it doesn't seem to scan in the folders. Out side of launchbox does.

Hello, not sure on the best place for this. I have searched but cant find anything... is there a way to import ROMS but exclude key words ie (DEMO) or (PROTO) etc. I am finding myself with duplicate sets as I have a full CHD set for sega32 as a example, ideally I would Launchbox use the same location as RomVault and just filter what I don't want. I appreciate I can remove things after, would just be nice if I could ignore them on import to start with.

Yeah I think a rebuild is on the cards.... switch some over to Retroarch etc.... any thoughts on any systems you would DEF use native emulators and not retroarch?

I think I have gone off the bezels etc and Rocketlauncher just feels so dated now... have used it for so long I cant let go!

Hello... I seek collective advice and possible sanity check!!! I have been using Launchbox and RocketLauncher together for a LONG time... Lots of systems and.. yeah huge setup. BUT its all starting to feel a little clunky.. I can no longer remember WHY I use RocketLauncher.. I think it was the Bezels but, I have started to go off them preferring to play full screen (am getting old think my eye sight is going) So am trying to get people thoughts... Bezels no Bezels... RocketLauncher or no... RetroArch or native emulators.. I know A LOT of it is personal preference and ill be honest that's kinda what I am wanting to hear. I am considering my 1st total rebuild in as long as I can remember... total delete and start again...

I currently have a LOT more time on my hands so was going to have a bash at some of the Atari ST stuff... is there a more effective way of updating/adding titles other than the website?? Are there any gotchas to look out for before spending HOURS on this :D Is there a way for someone to import a pre prepared spreadsheet in to the DB with all the game tiles, publishers.. dates etc... and then media can be added after?

Just had to jump in to say this theme is a thing of genuine beauty. For anyone who is a little unsure why it doesn’t look amazing.. watch the video.. take 20 minutes to generate new platform and game banners (it’s pretty much automated WATCH THE VIDEO) then you can go back system by system and make it look as pretty as you want. if you just install it, you are only getting 30% of the benefit.. watch the YouTube video ?
