  1. Hi, I'm trying to make an SNES MSU-1 playlist. Let's take Donkey Kong Country as an example: all my versions of the game, including the MSU-1 version, are merged into one entry in my regular SNES platform, which by defaults launches the US Rev.2 version of the game (not the MSU-1 one).

I then created an MSU-1 playlist and I added DKC in it, but I would like to launch the MSU-1 version of the game in this playlist by default. Is there any way to do it? If I change the default version in the playlist, it also changes in the regular SNES platform.

  2. Hey @viking, thank you very much for the update! I'm trying to make the Launchbox -> Retroarch transition as seamless as possible (or to "integrate" RA to Launchbox as best as possible), so I made some custom wallpapers for Retroarch based on your theme, let me know what you think:

Each core will have a custom wallpaper based on each platform from your theme. I added a blur effect for improved readability.

  3. Thank you for answering, but I'm not sure I understand. When I import games, there is no search bar, the wizard only allows me to select a folder. What am I missing here ?

Unless you're saying I should import all the files, then search for the cue files once the playlist is generated ? It means I would have to do it every time I want to play a TG-CD game ?

  4. Hi, I'm trying the licenced Android version of Launchbox and so far, I love it. There is one important feature that is missing : the ability to exclude some files when importing games. For example, my Turbografx CD folder is full of .ogg files and Launchbox added them all in my TG-CD library, where all I wanted was the .cue files. There are so many files that I cannot remove them all manually. It would be nice to be able to tell Launchbox to only include some file extensions (like .iso, .cue, .zip, etc.) when importing games.

  5. Hey Viking, I'm having a small problem with the recent version of your theme : I get a micro freeze when selecting a game, the transition between the list of games and the game menu freezes for like 500 milliseconds. It only happens with Wheelgameview 1 and 2, not with Textgamesview. I don't think I had this issue before. Anyway, your theme is the best !

Edit : oh wait, that's because I use a sliding transition effect ! Not sure it can be fixed, then. Except by not using a sliding transition effect... I also tried to disable the transition only for game list / game view but it has no effect, I still get the sliding transition.

  6. Thank you very much for taking time to make changes. It looks much better already I think. :) But actually, what I really liked in your first version was the transparency and blur effect we can see in the first post in the 2 Alisia Dragoon pictures. That is what got me hooked by your theme !

Launchbox has no interaction like that with emulators, it just loads the game. The emulator would need to support something like that, and i dont know of any that do. You may be able to get something similar via shaders in retroarch, but im not hopefull, as i doubt anyone wants there games looking blurry like that.

Yes I use retroarch as my main emulator, and I've asked for that feature some time ago on their forum, but I did not get any positive answer : https://forums.libretro.com/t/idea-suggestion-apply-a-blur-shader-on-the-menu/25102
