  1. Hi.

I've been buy with other projects lately, so sorry for little action from my end.
Lately i've been handing out my flash library to those who wants.

I still have these files, and will for quite a while.
Total flash games in collection: 593000

I do believe that this is one of the largest available :)
Also, i'm currently grabbing the full Nintendo Switch Library with roughly 1400 titles

NUMBERS MEAN LITTLE TO ME. MY FLASH GAMES COLLECTION ALONE NUMBERS 350,000. I WOULD HAVE TO CITE GRAHAM'S NUMBER TO BEGIN TO APPROACH ANY CONCEPTUALISATION OF THE ENORMITY OF MY COLLECTION. Back at the ranch - I'm migrating from HS to LB so not actually sure how many games are in my collection, but should know soon. Though there are 350,000 flash games. Thanks Romfrosk.

    @Dan
    Happy to share.
My 12TB NAS for ROMs and Games are soon full.
Nintendo Switch, Flash, and other newer systems are "taking their toll" on my space.
Maybe i'll need to expand even more.

  3. Hi all :)

Nice to see that you're requesting some kind of sign of life.

Truth is that i have lately been to busy with a major reorganization at work combined with two projects in the Asia-Pacific area that needed some intensive planning

As a result of planning for vacation in the same time, i got myself a Nintendo Switch, and have been following the scene closely to grab as many ROMs possible for this platform. even though they are not playable on a PC yet. I've tried many of them on the switch, and i'm having a blast.
Currently got 186 ROMs, and if anyone would like an user to my personal FTP Server, just let me know. but keep it for yourself :)

    Regarding the Flash games.
I'm sorry to say that i have lost the Link to the Google Drive with the library.
I will have to look for this.

Will there be interest for me to share my entire collection?
Bear in mind that i only have 200Mbit connection

I found that too. However, if you have the ROMs on the NAS and the rest local then that seems to run fine.

    Yeah.
that was the setup i had as well.
But images alone has now grown to crazy sizes, so i'll need a faster and larger disk in order to store it locally :p

  5. Hi all :)

There has been no progress the past week.
Haven't had much time to play around, and i've decided to move the entire collection to a NAS drive for now.
This may have been a bad move, as things are very sluggish.

I may move them back when i get my new 1TB SSD, but i'll update you.

I will now start replacing Some of my systems ROMs with the most recent No-Intro set. To get a cleaner list

How do you do the "scan for artwork"?

I only use LBs integrated scan for Metadata and Media.
But it seems to pick up new artwork everytime. no matter how many times i run it.

But i constantly get errors though. between 4 and 5000 errors

I have questions I would like to ask comparing our lists but I will wait for now, here is my current one if you would like to compare: My Systems.xlsx

    Just keep em coming:)

I have gone through your list, and found you've gotten many systems to run, that i haven't yet.
    Thanks for the list.

Hopefully this will make my setup even more complete.
I also added some of the new systems in your list.

I've decided to merge NEC PC-9801 and NEC PC9821 into one, Same with 8801 and 88VA and Sharp X1 Turbo and Sharp X1
I do think that in the end, i'll hope to have 250-300 fully working systems.

  8. Hi.

I've been scarping for additional media the past couple of days, and i've seen that if i scan lets say 2.000 games for artwork/metadata, it can find many missing artwork and download these properly and with no errors listed
I would assume that if i run it again right after, it wouldn't find any, but no.
It finds many new artwork and downloads quite alot. And this can happen over and over again.

I do not change any settings in regards of which images to download in between

  9. I will probably end up playing with that as well after I have most of my systems running. I'm aiming to get most work in retroarch. Then name, and then standalone if the two above is not possible or good.

I mostly got rid of systems I cannot find any emulators for. And some Japanese, Hungarian and so on systems.

I bet I'll add some more soon anyway. ?

Currently checking my entire collection for new images. I seem to find new everyone I do this. Even though my settings have been the same for many weeks.

    P. S: keep Wikipedia unchecked. It will triple the time it takes to get artwork.

  10. Todays been mostly getting more systems to work, but also a proper cleanup of the systemlist.

I've removed a few systems with no obvious emulator.
And some obscure none english ones.

I still have some of them included, and i've not decided what to do with them yet.
I also finally got around to locate some of my missing systems :)

I've updated the main post with new data :)

  11. Finally been through all systems and noted down if i have any issues starting.
I found some systems wrongly marked as OK as well.

Hopefully i'll get more systems on the OK list for emulators at least :) New spreadsheet will be uploaded shortly

  12. So.

I've reinstalled the computer, and no other software run prior to starting Launchbox.
    But still the same error.

Will continue to try things out.

I reused the old Launchbox installation on my second harddrive.
I might try to backup the xml files, emulators, videos and Images and do a reinstall of Launchbox

  13. This is what i've done:

Updated all drivers to the latest. (Video, Sound, Chipset, BIOS, Network)
Updated Windows 10 x64 to the latest Test Preview Build
Installed a fresh set of Launchbox to a different disk.
Run as Admin, Run for Win 8 and win 7

I'll keep looking and see if i find anything else.
Is there a way to get better logs out of Launchbox?

The errors looks like it's coming from .net, but i've also updated and verified .net

@Romfrosk That's an odd one. Can you test to make 100% sure that this error does not show up when using LaunchBox instead of LaunchBox.Next? What's odd is that the code there for the import dialog is exactly the same between LaunchBox and LaunchBox.Next.

    This just get stranger.
I swapped to normal launchbox to import ScummVM files earlier, and that worked perfectly.
Must be something strange going on on my end.
But reinstalled windows just a few days ago. so shouldn't be much stuff on it to interfere.

i'll troubleshoot some more on my end.

p.s: Error on normal launchbox has a bit more information in "Recent Log"
It also looks like logging has 2 different "Time Formats"
Both 12 Hour and 24 Hour.

I use 24 hour on my PC

Visual Styles-related operation resulted in an error because visual styles are currently disabled in the client area.

  15. I've done some more testing and here is what i've found:

it's not related to RDP, so we can skip that.
I'm on as you can see Beta5.

The error above show up when i click: Tools -> Import  -> ROM Files
If i select: Add Folder, then i can import as normal.
If i select: Add Files, then i get the error above.

I've tried running .Next in Admin Mode, Win 8, Win 7, Disable full screen optimization without luck.
