DOS76 Posted April 1, 2016 Author Posted April 1, 2016 I just read an article about Lakka which was pretty intriguing as I have an old Acer netbook laying around without any operating system installed on it. I was thinking I may install Lakka and give it a try on the laptop which isn't very powerful but I'm sure it can handle simple emulation. Anyone have any experience with it that could offer any advice. Quote
CADScott Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 I tried Lakka on my arcade cabinet a few months ago, which uses standard PC hardware. Ran OK, but a lot of frustrations with metadata scraping and issues due to being a linux system, required too much work to get it working for a windows person like me. Ended up going back to BigBox. DOS76 Posted April 1, 2016 Author Posted April 1, 2016 I got Lakka up and running on an old Acer Aspire laptop that I had laying around. I'm running it live from a USB drive so far for some reason I can't get it to boot after installing but the live boot works fine. Quote
