Background size?

I'm having trouble with files that are larger vertically than horizontally. Is there a specific size they should be (or is it in the to-do list, or is there a way to center or resize images within LB)? Allow me to show off my 4 month old grandson as an example. I've tried resizing the original file, but it always looks like this (in varying degrees of quality depending on the size, of course): Original file:

I see, yeah, the best thing to do for LaunchBox would be to crop the image to only the top half. LaunchBox currently centers the image, and chops off what doesn't fit aspect-ratio-wise. Otherwise, we'd have black bars on the sides. I do see some possible customization options for that though...good find. :)
