Haizum74
Hi, I've been using launchbox for a while and wanted to check out bigbox mode so clicked on the link at the top right and it asked if I wanted to learn more, I click on yes and it brings an error message up and this. Any ideas? System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (0x80004005): No application is associated with the specified file for this operation at System.Diagnostics.Process.StartWithShellExecuteEx(ProcessStartInfo startInfo) at System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(ProcessStartInfo startInfo) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.HandleClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.HandleMouseUp(MouseEventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mea) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)
SentaiBrad
Do you have a premium license? Is the BigBox exe in with your LB folder? Either way it shouldn't be giving an error and knowing the answers to my questions can help.
Haizum74
Hi, I don't have a premium license, just the 'bog standard' launchbox download and yes it has the bigbox exe file in there plus the bigbox config file
SentaiBrad
So BigBox is a Premium only feature, but it still shouldn't be giving you this error. I'll go ahead and forward this to Jason.
Haizum74
Yes, it mentions that when clicking on it. I will be upgrading next week but it just seemed strange the link doesnt work but thanks for passing it on. It also does it when attempting to download an emulator too. Jason Carr
Hi @Haizum74, I responded on YouTube, but it would probably be better to have the conversation here. What LaunchBox is doing is telling the operating system to open a web page, basically it's trying to open the LaunchBox website. So maybe some kind of configuration is strange for that on your machine? What is your default web browser?
SentaiBrad
Yea you can read those errors better than I can... figures since you make the damn thing. xD I read it as something wasn't opening, but I thought it was an error based on not being a Premium Member... I didn't guess browser. xD

Jason Carr
Okay what happens when you open the Run dialog (Start key + R will open it), and then type in a web address? For example, type in http://www.google.com and hit enter. What happens when you do that? Does it work, or does it give you an error? Thanks @Haizum74.
