Temp
So I'm not sure if I should ask this here or on the Noob forum, but here goes. For whatever reason my sound is stuttering on my rpgs and I'm not sure how to fix it. I have been playing Tales of Symphonia and it was fine yesterday but today it is stuttering to the point it's super annoying. Any suggestions or help pls? Zombeaver
Are you using per-game configurations? If not, did you change anything config-wise? Like maybe for a different game?
Temp
I tried going into that specific game and messed around with it but I am not knowledgeable on how I can fix it so I read something on the Dolphin website about emulation speed and the audio but of course since I am a noob, I don't understand how to adjust it. Sorry I am rambling just a bit frustrated at this point.
Zombeaver
Every game can be setup with its own config. This post has a list of the different parameters that can be added to the config and individually tweaked. If you don't create these individual configs, any time you change a setting within Dolphin (like enabling or disabling "Skip EFB Access From CPU" for example), that will then apply to ALL games you launch. There isn't really a one-size-fits-all setting solution for Gamecube/Wii games so this isn't really ideal - individual configs allow you to tailor each game to run the best. In order to determine what the best settings are per game, your best bet is usually to check the compatibility list. It contains a great deal of information regarding specific settings that can be beneficial to each game. Here's the one for Tales of Symphonia. Try tweaking your settings as recommended on that page and see if it helps (preferably via a game-specific config so that it doesn't potentially interfere with your other games). Read that forum post about configs carefully. In order to create a config for a game, quoting from the post: Quote It is highly recommended to edit the local gameini files and not the default for your settings to be kept even after updating Dolphin (right click your iso, select properties, click the edit config button and edit the empty text file that pops up). Zombeaver
No problem! Let us know how it goes. If I get a chance I'll try to mess with Symphonia myself. My emulated Gamecube library is fairly small
