Having LB+Roms on a USB 3.0

I am really new to launchbox but everything is up and running great so far and giving my hours of gaming :). I will likely end up with 20-ish console and togehter with the games, it will likely be around 100GB, not more. So  I was wondering: would it be possible to put LB, all my emulators and Roms on a 128GB USB 3.0 and basically have everything on the go?

Would I have to update all directories every time I put the USB into another computer or does LB automatically detect the new directory? Would performance be affected by having on USB 3.0 instead of my harddrive (I don´t have an SSD but instead a SATA and it runs the games perfectly).

If everything is organized within a single folder like \Launchbox then it should work.

As far as performance goes it shouldn't be too bad as long as you plugging it into a USB 3.0 port. Might not be quite as good as having it on a hard drive but if you keep the pictures to just the boxart and maybe a screenshot it should be alright.

I got everything working really great, even playing Saturn, Dreamcast and Gamecube of the usb-stick works like a charm (as long as I do it through USB3.0). I had to make some adjustments to Gamecube and Dreamcast since I don´t use Retroarch for those, ut now I have a super portable console :).
