Add platform with out adding games?

Not a major issue, but wondering if it's possible to add a platform in LB without adding any games like a place holder? I added in Atari 2600 yesterday through tools/manage platforms, but didn't see it populate even after restarting LB. Thinking it's coded to show after at least one game is added/imported. Any way around? Thanks in advance,

Yeah that platform is now created but until you add a game it will not show up and it is totally by design.
