ok i have the N64 down packed with launchbox but the PS1 files i have are .bin files with the cue file in a folder and i can get them to play if i have all the  files on the launchbox which creates double pics with some games (64 pictures of the same game with one game as an example) essentially the same game pic as many times it has .bin files. i was able to use the CTRL delete to get the ones with the least .bin file (2-6) down to one pic on the launchbox, i thought i was on a role but found out that deleting some of the games with the larger number of .bin files would render the game unplayable. so unless i have 64 pics of the same game  it wouldn't play the game. is there a way to merge the files to show one game pic and be able to run the game. i tried .rar files but it seems to confuse the retroarch emu and not play the game so im stuck with 64  64 pics of the same game making launchbox look terrible. please help me out guys.

Well for starters you don't need to import the bin files, you just need the cue files. Are your cue files all named the same generic name or are they named what the game is ? For example cd.cue or final fantasy.cue.

Ok, does your Ace Combat folder have a whole bunch of bin files in it ?

If it does remove all the Ace Combats but 1 from Launchbox. WIth that 1 left make Launchbox point to the cue file for it.

The other option is to remove all the PS1 games from Launchbox and reimport just your cue files.

Ok if the cue files are named after the game itself remove all your PS1 games from Launchbox and re-import just the cue files for each game.

The problem you are having is because you imported all the bin files which you don't want to do.

going to bed now will come back tomorrow with this i will try the whole only .cue files when i get some more time thank you for your help in this man i really appreciate it.

Ok I have one more question so I would have to take all the .cue files out of the original folders and put them a separate folder then after launchbox is done I would have to put the bin files into the folder where the .cue files are at. Correct ??

Leave the cue and bin files in their own folders for organization.

You could take your cue files out but you would have to go into each one and edit the bin location to a hard path which is not a good idea.

Depending on how you are doing your import but you can use your file manager to only show the cue files by putting *.cue in the file search for fast mass import.

Just go to your folder where you store your games and search for *.cue

So for example with my Playsation games I would navigate in my file manager to my Playstation folder which has all my games in their own sub folders. Then pressing control + f on the keyboard brings up the search box. Type in *.cue and then Enter on the keyboard, this should now just show all the cue files which can be dragged into Launchbox for import.

Or if you use the Launchbox import in the Tools > Import > Roms you can use the search there as well.

Well man I feel dumb I looked at the ps1 tutorial and it showed how to do it with epsxe ECT.. but I didn't see the search for .cue file only . Thanks again man

Sucks I have to reimport all the ps1 games but hey it's better then having all the duplicate games I had lol

Guys, this solution doesn't seem to work for me.  As soon as I hit Scan for new roms (system wide), it picks up all of the bins in my Saturn folder and makes a bunch of dupes.  There has to be a better way to do this.  Just because we have Saturn or PS1 shouldn't mean we can never use the scan for roms function.
