Shilar
Here's an odd question (and I am impressed with LaunchBox)... can this software detect or at least start a CD game by launching the appropriate software for the CD? For example, say I want to play Assault Rigs from the PS1. Would I have to start the emulation manually, or can it detect the PS1 code? I prefer CD emu vs ripping them Edited November 8, 2016 by Shilar
SentaiBrad
No, there isn't a method to utilizing real discs inside of LaunchBox currently, though that is an extremely interesting idea! I actually don't think I've seen someone bring that up.
Shilar
I figured it'd be cool if there was a way. I personally don't want to use ISOs, or at least prefer to start an emulator if i know the system. Like start a PS1 emulator and just put in the CD. Lordmonkus
Just out of curiosity, why don't you want to use ISOs over using actual CDs ?
SentaiBrad
I have to agree, that using the ISO would be better in the long run, but also there is a question of if that is even possible. Unless we wrote code to decipher discs, there's really no way to know what disc is for what system.
