How do I get a Joystick to work in BigBox

Hi I got my Atari 2600 Games to load. I tried to play kboom with my Logtrech 3 joystick don't work how do I set it up in BigBox or do I need to set it up in launchbox first and how do I do that. 

I will need to know how to set up a my arcade control panel as well going to hook it up soon but want to make sure it works first with the joystick

Set your controllers up in your emulators first.
