alpenjodler
I just gave up on hyperspin and started using this one last night. One feature I really missed in hyperspin I haven't seen in launchbox yet: I want to find games with local multiplayer Are there some pre defined filters that I can import? Can I import filters at all? Some recommendations: 3Player: Mame: Rampart SNES/SFC: Seiken Densetsu 2 / Secret of Mana, Seiken Densetsu 3 / Secret of Mana 2 4 Player: Steam: Mother Russia Bleeds, Castle Crashers, Black and White Bushido GBA; Advance Wars/2 3DS: Advance Wars - Dual Strike NES/Famicom: Nintendo World Cup and many other Kunio-kun/Nekketsu games GameCube: Mario Kart, Smash Brothers Dreamcast: Chu Chu Rocket, Power Stone 5 Player: Various Bombermen for PC-Engine, NES, SNES, Playstation 2 and probably many other systems
SentaiBrad
If a game has the metadata set for multiplayer, then you can use custom filters to do this. In the game details side bar of LB, there should be a "Play Mode" spot. If it doesn't have it there, it's not been set on the database or the metadata for that gave hasn't been updated by you. In the left pane, at the top, click the drop down and select Play Mode, or even custom filters. This should help. Also, LaunchBox is very different than most other front end's, so I wouldn't usually apply knowledge you know of HS to LB, as it wont always apply; or at least wont apply in nearly the same way. alpenjodler
Yes, I have "play mode" but it only lists single player, multi player, coop. Do I have to personally set add the games to those categories or can I import that information somehow?
SentaiBrad
It gets imported from the Database, but if the Database doesn't have that info then it wont get imported. My Multiplayer stuff might be leftovers, I recall @Vlansix changing something related to the Multiplayer field, but I don't quite remember. ImagicalFantasy
I'm still searching too for a quicker way to know what games can be played localy on one unique devise. For retro consoles games, it's clear that multi games are local... But for windows games or even recent console game it's not. They should need to have some reflexion to make this more evident.
