8Phantasm
I'm unfamiliar with Project 64 since I do not use it, but I was wondering if there was a way to turn hacks made for games in PJ64 into actual patches to manually patch the full rom? So that they can be used in RetroArch cores. The hack in question is for WWF No Mercy and is called WWF Legends 2.1 Edited March 1, 2017 by 8Phantasm
Lordmonkus
If the rom is already patched I know of no way to extract the "patch" content out to make a patch for a fresh rom. That being said though most rock hacks that work for PJ64 should in theory work for the Retroarch cores since they are are sort of loosely based on the same code depending on how far back you want to look. But of course there are always exceptions when a hack relies on some hack used in a specific emulator.
8Phantasm
I dont think its a patched rom, just a bunch of textures and stuff that go in PJ64 folders. Also a save file. Do you know the best program to use to swap data in n64 roms? Edited March 1, 2017 by 8Phantasm
Lordmonkus
If there was no rom in the link then please feel free to re-add the link. It just looked to me like there was a rom download there.
8Phantasm
I think the ROM does indeed come with the download because they are using a modified version of the rom with some hair fix or something.
Lordmonkus
That's what it looked like to me.
8Phantasm
I don't know why anyone would want to make rom hacks like this where you have to use PJ64. Unless its too comprehensive to make as a patch.
Lordmonkus
Sometimes certain rom hacks use hacks within an emulator itself to make the rom hack work. This is more common in SNES games where certain rom hacks require ZSnes to emulate because of funky shit that emulator does.
8Phantasm
That could be the case here. I'll try asking in libretro forums soon to see if anyone knows about N64 hacks or this one in particular.

Launching my No Mercy mods from LB would be a dream come true. These music hacks make it seem tricky but hopefully there is a way!
