Isn't Attract Mode, music from vids, and sounds supposed to not work unless bigbox is on top? I'm playing games and bigbox is in the background making ruckus

It shouldn't run if I recall, like when playing a game. If it's in the background like you alt-tabbed, I'm not sure Big Box see's that? I'd have to ask Jason, but more info on exactly how it's in the background would help.

If a window is on top of something, that something is considered in the background. Or rather, not on top and behind another window.

So if bigbox is open and I open firefox on top of it, I can still hear sounds and attract mode is still running in bigbox.

Does it do it if you open up an emulator? My guess is that it only detects when games are being played and pauses all function so it's not taking up resources. Since you alt-tabbed effectively, it doesn't know to stop.

If an emu is running, it works correctly. But if it's something like firefox or photoshop or anything else, nope.

That sounds right, so it's not a bug. I don't know if there's a BitBucket ticket to request this change, but feel free to add it. In the mean time, a good workaround is to go in to the Big Box main menu, or (if this hasn't changed), open up a games details screen.

WIll the ahk freeze process script crash bb? If not, i can code ahk to freeze bb when not on top.

Nevermind, tried it without one I had already. It doesn't crash bigbox. Excellent. I do see that the vids freeze when not on top by default. But everything doesn't freeze. This would ensure everything freezes

@Jason Carr Yeah so I was playing Tekken 7 launched from launchbox and attract mode keeps working while playing still. So it is pretty much a problem with everything whether bigbox launched it or not. Please fix. For now, I have to turn off attract mode or either ahk it. But it's better if I don't have to result in external programs to fix an issue. Thanks in advance.
