edugr10 Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 (edited) I've always had all my MAME roms tight in a single platform called "Arcade", but I just noticed they're now each in their own publisher "platform". This happened all of a sudden and I have no idea what caused it. All I did was try a few roms. Any idea what may have caused this and how to avoid it in the future? Also, the best/fastest way to fix this is to go to every one of those "X Classics" platforms and editing the platform in bulk back to Arcade, correct? These files are not duplicates btw, they were simply moved from "Arcade" into these Classics platforms. Thanks in advance Edit- Forgot to add a screenshot, here it is: Edited August 7, 2017 by edugr10 Quote
DOS76 Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 Those should just be auto generated playlist all you games should still be in your Arcade platform and all those playlist just use your existing media and roms so the only extra disk space is the xml that says they are in there to get rid of them right click one and edit it. edugr10 Posted August 7, 2017 Author Posted August 7, 2017 Thanks. I actually quite like the concept of playlists, just don't like them being all over the place. Is there a way I can make them act like subfolders to my Arcade so I can pop them open and back as I please? Quote
DOS76 Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 you can uncheck the include in platform checkbox when you edit them and you will only see them when you switch from platform to playlist but no sub folders categories yet Quote
edugr10 Posted August 7, 2017 Author Posted August 7, 2017 Thanks. Do you know what caused these playlists to auto-generate and how to avoid this in the future? Quote
DOS76 Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 I don't know what would make it auto generate now that you removed them I don't think it will come back. I do know that when you import your arcade games now there is a checkbox to turn off the auto generation so have you added any new games to MAME lately. Quote
edugr10 Posted August 8, 2017 Author Posted August 8, 2017 I did actually. Will keep that in mind next time. Thanks Quote
