doubt with license renewal

I shared the license with my brother, but he does not want to continue paying
If I renew the lifetime license, will it remain the same?
It could not be changed, because if not my brother will continue  it without paying

If you are upgrading to a lifetime license you will receive a new license file via email. So you would be on the new lifetime license, but I'm not sure what would happen to the older license, my guess is that it wouldn't work anymore as you would have your email attached to the forever license now, not the yearly one.

the other license does not matter to me because out of date, the important thing was to know if they gave me a new license, thanks
