ESC key closing windows games

Hello, I have a bunch of windows games in my library and it all works flawlessly through launchbox but is unplayable at the same time. 

Take ARMA 3 for instance, You press ESC to pause your game and BOOM launchbox closes the application.

Completely annoying, any simple fix? thank you.

 

NOTE: I do use a script - 

$Esc::
{
    Process, Close, {{{StartupEXE}}}
} 

to close all the games that don't close normally "some emulators".. And I'm guessing this is causing that. Any other code I can use just for emulators and not my windows games?

Escape shouldn't be closing out your Windows games unless you have some sort of AHK script or other software mapping Escape to Alt + F4 or some other Close Process script.
