Juicebox Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 why isnt there a option for a psp emulator? ive seen several videos with tutorial for psp and they all have a psp option. it also looks like a lot of systems are missing. i have the newest version of launch box, am i missing something? Quote
Lordmonkus Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 You can put your own systems in, you don't have to rely on it being in Launchbox but PSP should be there under Sony PSP. Quote

Lordmonkus Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 When it asks which platform you want to import your games into just type it in, you aren't forced to pick from the drop down menu. I am pretty certain that if you start typing out Sony PSP it will show up. 1 Quote

Lordmonkus Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 So if you got the platform and games imported to them install PPSSPP (or the Retroarch core if you prefer) and then add the emulator to Launchbox and the associated platforms for it. Then you will have to point all your games to use it, select all your PSP games with Control + A and then press Control + E to open the bulk edit tool and change the emulator field to the emulator you just added for it. Juicebox Posted January 27, 2018 Author Posted January 27, 2018 nor is there an option for it in retroarch. im stumped Quote
Lordmonkus Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 I suggest using the stand alone version of PPSSPP. Did you add PPSSPP to Launchbox and set the associated platform for it ? Quote
Juicebox Posted January 27, 2018 Author Posted January 27, 2018 nope it doesnt let me. like did i get a bad version of launch box? lol also the help is appreciated man Quote
Lordmonkus Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 In the associated platform window you can click twice to start typing in them. Enter your platform name and command line Quote

Lordmonkus Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Are your games in PBP format ? Do your games work in PPSSPP outside of Launchbox ? Quote
Juicebox Posted January 27, 2018 Author Posted January 27, 2018 ahh, yes they are pbp format, and yeah they do work outside of launchbox with ppsspp. maybe its the format? Quote
Juicebox Posted January 27, 2018 Author Posted January 27, 2018 yeah that seems to be it, i just tried a cso or what ever the other format is iso and it worked. makes sense now. Quote
Lordmonkus Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Cool, glad you got it working. CSO and PBP are the 2 common file types that im aware of. Quote
Juicebox Posted January 27, 2018 Author Posted January 27, 2018 i wasn't aware they was a difference, now i know. thanks for help man! Quote
Lordmonkus Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 PBP is the main one, CSO is a compressed game image. 1 Quote
