jkendric
Hey all, BIg fan of Bigbox, and just getting started with it. I have run into a problem that may be an intentional feature, and if so, maybe somebody can help me with an alternate method. I have a bigbox setup with a ton of platforms and games. It is my main system. I would like to set up another system on another machine, but with a curated list of games (Favorites). I want bigbox to load into that list and only show those games. My initial approach was to just copy the whole folder over, open launchbox, select all the games, hide them, then select my favorites and unhide them. This works great when loading into the platform view in bigbox, but when I use the "all games" view, it shows all games regardless of whether or not they are hidden through launchbox. I have made sure the "show hidden games" option in the menu is unselected. Is this an intentional feature - I could understand that "show all" should actually show all regardless of its hidden tag.... Any thoughts or alternate suggestions on how to accomplish my goal of displaying only a curated list of games in bigbox with the entire collection still existing in bigbox. One main requirement is that it boot directly into this view, as I have worked with playlists, filters, etc to accomplish this, but I need it to be easy for the end user - thus the requirement to boot straight into it. Thanks! JK
neil9000
I'm not actually sure if that is intentional behaviour or not. What I would suggest off the top of my head would be to create a playlist of favourites that auto populates, so whenever you favorited something it is automatically added to the playlist, then have Bigbox launch into a playlist rather than all games. I haven't tested this though.
jkendric
Thanks @neil9000. Do you happen to know if it is possible to start directly into a specific playlist, or just a list of playlists?
