jiveturkey458 Posted May 1, 2018 Share Posted May 1, 2018 Yo. I also asked about this, and received no reply. From what I can tell, the default volume control relies on dependencies in explorer. I noticed that my startup programs also didn't work, likely for the same reasons. I have yet to find a solution, and it seems that no one here knows what to do about it, or if anything can be done. This doesn't bring back the volume feature of Big Box, but it allows you to program keyboard buttons to adjust the volume of Windows. I downloaded CabVol as mentioned here: Then, I used Task Scheduler in windows to create a task with the action of launching CabVol. I set the trigger to be at login of my specific windows user.
