corrupt settings.xml file

Hello,

I get this pop up message when trying to start launchbox - see attached.

Note I was using launchbox without any issues yesterday.

The message says to restore a backup of the file from the Backup folder.\

I went to the Backup folder and looked around but have no idea how to restore the settings.xml file.

Can someone point me to some instructions?

Delete the one from your \data folder and then copy in the most recent backup but rename it to settings.xml. If that doesn't work try the next most recent and so on til you get one that works, they are dated in the name.

My xml files went corrupt for who knows why reason however the backup fixed. My question is can the files be set to locked/non-writable if no further changes will be made to avoid them corrupting ?

Sure, you can right click the file and in the properties make it read only.
