Mayora13
I tried to use standalone higan and bsnes for MSU1 but was unable play the msu1 music even after setting up msu1.rom program.rom and track-*.pcm.
Lordmonkus
You need to load the manifest.bml file as your rom to playback the MSU music for those games. I highly suggest using either the latest stand alone version of Snes9x or the RA Snes9x core for MSU games, they both accept simply loading the rom file. Mayora13
Well I used bsnes-plus and snes9x which worked fine so its better than nothing I guessed. Thanks. Edited August 4, 2018 by Mayora13
Lordmonkus
I know Higan/BSnes gets all the attention because of its accuracy and it is amazing but the reality is for 99% of the games out there Snes9x plays them without issues or glitches. You can still use Higan or BSnes for all your regular games but set your MSU games to use Snes9x, this is what I do in my setup.
Mayora13
Now I think about it, snes9x is straight up better than bsnes/higan for romhack(including msu1) as most of them are tested on snes9x. Higan, zsnes and others compatibility are an afterthought. So thanks for the suggestion. Edited August 4, 2018 by Mayora13
