EndlessUrbia
I'm having no issues running games using the Mamaeui64 emulator but when I do it from LaunchBox it crashes differently depending on if I try to extract Rom files or not (all my roms are zipped). Side note, I have repathed the ROMs folder inside of Mameui64 to point to a location other that the Mame folder\Rom. -Extract Rom Files checked: Unknown system C:\Users...\Lauchbox\7-zip\Temp\AB14.12H "Unknown system 'AB14' " Then it tells me the name matches the following supported machines... -Extract Rom Files unchecked: list of files NOT FOUND (tried in btime btime) Fatal error: Required files are missing, the machine cannot be run. I found a similar thread here but it didn't really answer my question. It seems I'm missing some files or LaunchBox doesn't know how to find stuff that Mame can on its own... DOS76
go into your MAME folder and then into the ini folder and cut the mame.ini file and place it in the root folder then everything should work.
EndlessUrbia
Which root folder do I put it into? Launchbox? Mame? There are other .ini files that were in the MAME root folder (MAME_g.ini, MEMUI.ini) and a few inside the INI subfolder.
DOS76
MAME root folder
EndlessUrbia
This didn't fix the issue for me. I cut and paste the .ini files from the INI folder into the Mame root folder.
DOS76
was there a MAME.ini file that was the only one you were supposed to paste there? 99.9% of the time that is the reason the MAMEUI doesn't work in LB
EndlessUrbia
Yep I have MAME.ini directly in the MAME root folder. All other .ini files are in the INI subfolder. I saw that this person on a separate thread was having the exact same issue, the suggestion there was the same; to put the .ini file in the root folder. That fixed it for him but still doesn't fix it for me. https://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/39715-missing-mame-rom-error-from-launchbox/
