BootSector
THE VDMGR (NEO GEO POCKET) EMULATOR IS NOT RECOGNIZING ROMS BY STARTING THE GAME (FALLING ON THE LAPTOP BIOS SCREEN). SOMEONE KNOWS ANY PARAMETER TO INSERT AND GET INITIALIZED THE ROMS? NOTE: I DO NOT LIKE TO USE RETROARCH AND NEOPOP IS A SLOW EMULATOR FOR MY PC. Belgarath
As far as I can tell vdmgr does not have command line support so you cannot use it with a frontend.
BootSector
As a frontend it is no good. I run everything through the Launchbox. I have to find some solution. Thanks for answering.
Belgarath
Have you tried MAME?

The two versions of MAME I own (122 and 0.136) do not have or do not support Neo Geo Pocket BIOS. Too bad the Launchbox does not support VDMGR, it has a fullscreen function (full resolution), faster than Neo Pop (massive FPS gain). A simple script or a batch (if anyone knows or if the Launchbox programmers - who have access to the code do so) would solve the problem. I have researched, and at the moment, I do not know any AutoHotKey scripts that will solve the problem. Remembering that VDMGR is multiplatform. Lordmonkus
I don't have any experience with the emulator you speak of. I would only suggest that you use Retroarch but since you said that you don't like it I guess that's not an option.

From what I've seen, he uses the core with Mednafen. Actually, I'd like to make the VDMGR emulator run through the Launchbox because in addition to the qualities I've mentioned above, it's not bureaucratic to run. However, if you say that Launchbox can not run it because of a lack of command line, I must wait to have the patience to start configuring another emulator. The emulator is somewhat unknown due to the platforms it emulates: NES, NeoGeo Pocket, Sega SG-1000 / Mark III, MCS BASIC-52, TD 4, GMC-4, Z80 computers and MSX. However, for Neo Geo Pocket (another somewhat non-famous) is the best I've seen. To run it, just get the BIOS of Neo Geo Pocket and rename it to "ngcbios.rom" by pasting the BIOS directory inside the emulator. Thanks for answering. I'll try to implement some code here to find a solution.
Lordmonkus
Have you tried the stand alone Mednafen at all ? It supports command line loading and their emulation tends to be of very high quality and runs a better than the RA core counterparts. BootSector
Not yet. When I have time and a little more patience, I'll check.
