Retroarch: Same Platform/Different Core

ArcadeDemon

Recommended Posts

All of my PS1 games are in ISO format which is recognized by the the Beetle PSX core but one of my games is in MDF format which can only be recognized by the PCSX ReARMed core.  Is their a way to tell Launchbox to use a particular core when launching Retroarch depending on the game?
If so, given that the core is defined universally by the platform, is their a best practice way to do it based on extension?

Thanks.

Another option if you have a lot of games you want to change is to create a 2nd Retroarch entry in Launchbox and have the associated platform pointing to the core you want. This way you can select all the games you want to change by holding control and clicking the games, then you can bulk edit them and change the emulator.
