snapshotnycs
newbs here, hi everyone i just purchased launch box this year and it is amazing. I love how the cover arts is there and looking great, you have the ability to download it all in one place. I recently got kind of in a stump, my problem is the Kega Fusion Emulator, i just wanted to see if i could use it without crashing on LB. everyone says use retroarc and its better and i agree 100% but i wanted to see if we could solve the issue just in case anyone wanted to use it besides myself, I hear it plays sega cd, 32x SMS & Genesis. I have loaded it independently so the emulator is working fine solo it is just when I try to launch it from launchbox that it crashes.. i am just curious as to why kega is crashing whenever i decide to load a genesis game to it from LB. could anyone offer some input on this. thank you. P.S running it on a "windows 7 64bit"
CDBlue
I'm at work right now so I can't confirm how I have mine setup, but I know it works. Did you follow the instructions on the command line setup page here on the LB forums to enter the correct command line parameter in LB for Kega Fusion? Based on this thread it looks like you need to have a command line of "-gen -auto -fullscreen" for Kega if you plan on using it for Genesis games, and "-32x -auto -fullscreen" if you plan on using it for Sega 32X games. FYI, I would not recommend Kega Fusion for Genesis, but I do for 32X games. For genesis the retroarch Genesis_Plus_GX is the recommended core/emulator that most people use. CDBlue
Ok, I finally got home and got a chance to check my settings for Kega Fusion. Those command line paramaters are what I have set for the emulator in LB. However, I forgot I also had to right-click on the fusion.exe file, select the compatibility tab, click on Change High DPI settings, then select both options as I have shown in my screenshot below... at least I had to for it to run properly in my system otherwise it would crash as you mentioned if I recall correctly. Hopefully, that's the same fix you are missing in your setup. Edited March 20, 2019 by CDBlue
snapshotnycs
Ok great. I will definitely try these settings out. I did recently try these dpi settings from a recent message board that I found earlier, but It did not work on my Windows 7. but I see on your attachment that you clicked a couple of more options. Let me take a look when I return back home and see if I am missing anything. Thank you so much for your help.
DOS76
If you have Win 7 you won't even have those options.
CDBlue
Oh yes, didn't noticed the I'm using windows 7 part. Not sure then, maybe just the command line parameters are what's causing the issue?
