I've been trying to set up different custom playlists and I've ran into a number of problems (most probably caused by my humble self). I've set up genre, decades and franchise playlists and I tinkered a bit before I got the hang of it; but - a. It seems that even if I change a list's name, it doesn't actually register the change - one time out of two, the name that shows in Big Box is some older name I used while testing, and even if I decided to scrap the list and start a fresh one, the older name still stuck. b. I'm able to link a startup video with no problems, but if I add a clear logo or a banner, it doesn't really show up in Big Box. Well, in some instances it did, and it most instances it did not. c. I've try recreating the Arcade playlists, and they wont even show up now. I've tried different things like deleting the XMLs (with LB closed), deleting/renaming Listcach.xml but I can't find for the life of me why all these old playlist titles come back to haunt me all the time, or why the banners/clear logos Don't show up. If anyone has any lead on this, it would be much appreciated - I can start over the playlists, no problem, but I wouldn't want to mess up the platform part... Thank you in advance! sundogak Posted April 14, 2019 Share Posted April 14, 2019 Did you do a refresh of the images in BB via the Options? Anytime making changes to images and such need to do that. Where are you placing the clear logo's and banners? They either go here into the specific theme folder: or if want to apply to all themes (organized by playlist, platform, etc) Doesn't explain the playlist issue. You can try manually deleting the older/unwanted playlists from here (make backup outside of the LB path just in case): and any name in here: Way back I had an issue where older data kept getting restored even when I deleted from backup directory and main directory (it would regen the older XML file magically, very odd since could see it copying back). It was an odd thing that could never replicate for bug purposes but a few others have had. In my case clearing the backup folder, and the main folder of the unwanted XML, and then deleting the Windows TEMP folder files seemed to stop it. So following your leads, it seems like everything's pretty much fixed (… until I destroy everything again) : I switched the image from Banner to Clear Logo and refreshed all images from the Options menu in BB, and bingo - art is there. Yay! I'll continue to experiment and see if my odd "old names still show up in BB" bug is gone; I've emptied the folders you mentioned, might have helped. About the stock playlists, they didn't show because I had a "Hide stock playlists" ticked in BB; not sure why, but everything seems to be in working order now - a million thanks to you, and another +1 to the always-at-it Launchbox Community!
