LaunchBox/BigBox update with expired license

Unfortunately I won't be able to upgrade this year during the Black Friday deal (from the Regular-License to the Forever-Updates License). When a new update comes, does it update both LaunchBox and BigBox or only LaunchBox? I'm assuming both and I shouldn't update until I can afford to upgrade to the Forever-Updates License.

I don't believe it will update anymore but to be safe you may want to go to Tools Options Updates and turn off you updates. I you want to have a separate install without your license to use the latest version of LB you can also just install to a separate folder but that is entirely up to you.

What about updating after a license expiration to a later version that released during the license's active period? Will it update to that version automatically, and if not would there be issue doing it manually?

The only issue with that is past version aren't available so there would be no way to get the version in question if you never downloaded it. If you tried to update it would update to the newest version which would break your BigBox until you got a new license or rolled back to the previous version. You might however be able to contact support and request the last version that was supported by your license and they would probably accommodate you.
