Im not able to open launchbox it gives me an error

Launchbox settings XML file is corrupt it cannot continue

Root element is missing

I need steeps to restore

you can 1 delete the settings xml and open the program it will create another (you will have to change any settings that you had previously edited) 2 retrieve a backup from the backup folder rename it settings.xml and replace the corrupt file in the data folder.
