deezdrama
So i have a background with hyperspin.... In 2015 I completed a 4 player arcade cab and partook the huge task of compiling a huge hyperspin setup ....... Long story short..... Im building an emulation pc for a crt tv and also rebuilding the pc for my arcade cab...... Alot has changed since 2015 and will not go through the headache of setting up hyperspin on these 2 systems. So I bought launchbox and set it up on my first pc.... I have my drive from the arcade cab to import roms and sofar ive imported atari 2600,7800, nes, super nes, turbo grafx 16 with no issues. But when importing famicon, and pc engine systems I get no media, artwork,or videos to be found. Im synced with emumovies (lifetime membership) ..... its just not finding any media for these systems. I chose the default systems when importing.... do i have to scrape? Could the rom naming be off? They were named for hyperspin/rocketlauncher and worked fine. Any ideas? Lordmonkus
Do you have PC Engine and Famicom as their own platforms ? And if so when you scraped them did you scrape as Famicom and PC Engine or did you scrape as NES and TurboGrafx If you scraped as Famicom and PC Engine try rescraping those platforms as NES and TurboGrafx. deezdrama
When i imported roms i setup as their own platforms, i chose them from default list and there was no option to scrape from another system
Lordmonkus
Right click your Famicom and PC Engine platforms in LB and click Edit:Next in the Edit Platforms window change the Scrape As: dropdown to NES and TurboGrafx. Then select each platform and go to the Tools menu and Download Metadata and Media. That should go through the platform and rescrape everything and get what you are looking for. Hopefully this works for you.

deezdrama
I set them to scrape parent systems and redownloaded media... It took a while like it was downloading all the files but for both famicon and pc engine - the box arts are blank, I had to scroll down through the image groups to "3d carts" to find any images. Both systems have most of the image files for each game under the 3d cart image group but thats about it. Is this normal for these 2 systems? Also none of the pc-fx roms will play but may just need a different bios file? Edited January 30, 2020 by deezdrama

I imported my roms to NEC-TurboGrafx-16 and Nintendo Entertainment System and just let LB do its thing and it found them allI don't really have many Famicom games but the ones I do have imported and scraped fine. 51 minutes ago, deezdrama said: Also none of the pc-fx roms will play but may just need a different bios file? Do they work in your emulator on its own ? You may have to add that platform to the associated platforms list for the emulator you are using for those games.
