Couple weird issues.

So I have a couple weird issues. First of, my controllers are recognized in launchbox/bigbox. Work in the menus fine. i can select a game and play it and all that. But I can't map any functions within LB or BB. Really what i'm after is to map a couple buttons to press together so I can exit a game and one button each for volume up and down. But when I go to map a button in either LB or BB its just says awaiting input and nothing happens. I have to press escape on a keyboard to get out of it... I try both controllers and no response. However the controllers work in the menus and it recognizes them as Xbox 360 controllers in the menu.

Second, when my background music plays in Bigbox I get a pop up with the name of the song that has started to play. I'd like to get rid of that popup. I have no idea if this is coming from Bigbox or from windows media player or what... And how to disable it, if possible.

Thanks for any help.

In the "Controller" under "Device" try selecting the name of the controller and see if it works.

For the music just go to >Options>Sound and uncheck to box for "Enable Music On Screen Display".

I'm not at home right now, but I believe I did try selecting the name of the controller and nothing happened but I will try it again as when i get home.

I tried unchecking the "Enable Music On Screen Display" but then the music didn't play at all. I will try that again as soon as I can.

Thanks

Okay I selected the controller in Launchbox and a drop down appears but it only has one option. It says X-input/xbox 360/Xbox one controller, something to that effect. Which is correct, I am using Xbox 360 controllers as the brain for my arcade controls... If I click it in Bogbox nothing happens. Like I said the controller is recognized and works in bigbox but I cant map anything in either LB or BB.

The music setting worked, so that problem is sorted. So thanks for that...
